A Fan's Point of View
Of course this may not be every fan's point of view but I am tired of arguing with people on the Charlotte Observer website.
#1. If the Panthers get rid of John Fox in 2011, we will be that much further from a SB trophy. (Second one after this season.) Fox has proven to be a great coach time and again. When the team is completely down and out he seems to be able to get the most from all the players.
#2. Julius Peppers proved that he was not the quality person that the organization wanted on this team. (no remorse whatsoever for leaving). I believe that once Mr. Richardson called him out to be a leader was when he began to dislike the organization. JP does things on his schedule, no one elses. So how dare that old man tell me to step up and be a more vocal part of the group.
#3. While it may seem harsh, the release of Jake Delhomme was a necessity for both him and the team to move forward. He may not have been a negative force in the locker room to start off with, but the team needed to understand that there is only one leader on offense, and Jake had been that leader to long to be the backup.
#4. Is it just me or does Pat Yasinkis from ESPN.com have it out for John Fox or what? I blame that on the whole Bill Rosinski thing. I have noticed that every time there is an inkling of Fox being on the "Hot Seat" Pat seems to feed the fire.
That's just this fan's point of view.

Though its hard to see a guy like Jake leave it was the right move. We can’t have Moore looking over his shoulder.

Yas...
I used to give Pat Y regular crap before he left for ESPN but not so much anymore. He’s not as controversial these days…but he loves to zing Fox I would agree.

Patty
I still give him crap when he gets out of hand on the ESPN blog as well, I think I had a few people wound up at him for going after Fox to much.
Good stuff! I agree with you on all points! Welcome to the blog.
I quit arguing on the Observer website a long time ago. Don’t worry about what everyone says about the Panthers, they’re making good decisions right now that aren’t only good for this year, but for the future as well.
Let’s see what Pat says about us once we reach the Super Bowl =D
