Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

The eyes in the sky don't lie:
"He can’t throw. A guy could be open 20 yards downfield and he’ll throw it 25. He never could throw, but he was fast before. It’s not like he’s slow now but he doesn’t stick out"
--An NFL scout who watched each of Michael Vick's snaps last year.

So to anybody who still believes Vick can be a contributing quarterback in Carolina or anywhere else, give it up.

Couldn't agree with you more MP

I don’t even need an NFL scout’s word for it: Vick just isn’t a good QB from what I’ve seen of him – he is nowhere near what this Panthers team needs to be successful.

As long as the Panthers don't trade for Michael Vick, sign Derek Anderson, or draft Tim Tebow; my sanity (what's left of it, at least) will remain intact for 2010.

I won’t bother with posting Weinke again here… But Vick.

Do. Not. Want.

BW is right

Don’t need the scout..saw those plays myself, and came to the same conclusion. Funny how Philly paid him the 1.5M bonus to give them more time to work a trade. They are standing pat, thinking someone will get desperate as the season draws closer, and give up a 2nd. WTF are they thinking. As valuable as draft picks have become, I don’t see Vick even drawing a 3rd rounder, or possibly not a 4th. Look at the Boldin trade. If that’s all the Cardinals can get for a pro-bowl wideout, why the heck is someone gonna tard-out and give them a second?

That is the sole reason he was brought to Philadelphia. For trade value. I hope a 5th round pick was worth all of the negative pub that came with the signing. But Andy Reid is the smartest guy in the room, so there must be something my tiny brain is failing to grasp.

Do or do not. There is no try.
