Yes, you read that title correctly. Peter King was out-dueled across the entire length of the season in picking the winners of NFL games by an ordinary dog named Laska.
This taken from a blog that I have been reading for just over a year now. Each week, the owner of the blog picks a random game, and uses 11 methods for predicting the outcome. They range from things that have some merit like a Madden '10 Simulation, Accuscore, and Wonderlic test results... all the way to more bizarre things like which mascot is cooler, a Super Tecmo Bowl simulation, a family pet, and... Peter King.
Well, Panther fans, the result is that Peter King is dumber than your average mutt. More after the jump.
In the case of the dog, Laska, the owner puts 2 dog biscuits on opposite sides of a room, and then lets the dog into the room to choose a biscuit. Whichever biscuit the dog eats first is the dogs prediction for the week. For Peter King he references his weekly list of NFL picks.
Going into the Super Bowl... the dog and peter king were TIED.
After the Super Bowl... the dog emerged victorious!
Peter King was 11-10 on the year in picks... The dog Laska went 12-9!
The most accurate system of picking a winner belongs to ESPN's "sports guy" who finished 13-8. barely edging out the dog. So, Peter King, ready to spew another load of BS next season?
*NOTE: My apologies to Laska for using him as a point of comparison in this article. In no way am I suggesting that his intelligence level is so low, that it rivals Peter King.
