Somewhere out there, Richard Seymour is being dragged back to a football field.
“Nao! I don’t want to play for them! The Raiders suck!”
“But Seymour, you have to play with them! the Franchised you.”
“I don’t care! They suck! We’re going to go 0-16 and suck up the field!”
“But Seymour, they’re paying you over 12 million dollars!”
And then Seymours eyes are all $$$

That's the same Seymour who also said they were going to the playoffs.
He clearly doesn’t hate it that much.

They had to franchise him to keep him though!
And don’t forget the big fuss he kicked up about not showing up to training camp and all of that. I don’t think he wants to be there at all.

Coincidence?

No.
three of the four D lineman are nose tackles in a 3-4…which are hard to find. Seymour is franchised so the raiders don’t look foolish renting a player for one season at the expense of a 1st round pick.
Do or do not. There is no try.

There are exactly unrestricted FA DTs under thirty this season.
It’d be extraordinarily difficult to replace these guys if you let them go.
