New Opportunity

Hey folks, I just wanted to write a quick piece over on CSR to let people know about a new opportunity that has presented itself, to clarify and answer any questions people might have.

In short, I have been offered a job to take over the fanball.com Carolina Panthers' blog at www.realbitsofpanthers.com

Star-divide

One of the major elements of the contract I signed (and an area that was important to me) is that I am not expected to relinquish or abandon any other writing endeavors I already have; this means, I will keep writing for Cat Scratch Reader, continue to be an editor and it will be business as usual.

I know a lot of the community visit a lot of different sites and blogs, so I didn't want there to be any misconception if you find my other blog and notice that my bio describes me to a tee.

So, in summation: Nothing will change as far as my status as CSR. I will continue to write for the blog, I will still be an active member of this community (hands down the best I have ever seen on a sports blog) and continue to be with you guys for the open threads, the bantering, and the discussion down the road.

I would like to also take this opportunity to thanks Jaxon, the other editors and writers of CSR and of course the readers. With you comments, critiques and suggestions I have become a better writer and would not have been presented this opportunity without all of your aide.

Thanks again, James R Dator (James the Aussie)

“Your contract.” I hope you run with this opportunity and take it places people have never dreamed of.

Advance apologies if the contents of this sports-based post offended you. I'm just aiming to educate the masses. My law professor says they're asses.

For someone who claims to not care about icing on a internet friendship cake

he sure seems to spend a lot of time swiping icing off of the cake.

Main reason why I'm not allowed in the kitchen

They keep all the icing in the bottom droor of the fridge.

James...your transition

seems to mirror that of Darin Gantt, who is now writing for both the Observer and the Herald.

It would be nice if we could all make enough to just write about the Panthers like Gantt does!

I’m really glad Gantt is going to be working with the Observer… they could definitely need his help covering the Panthers beat.

I think mgt finally realized

they had their best writer working at the paper with the smaller circulation.

Absolutely

Gantt catches alot of flack because he tells people what they don’t want to hear… but he really has his finger on the pulse of what the organization will actually do.
