Around SBN: Chauncey Billups Injures Achilles Tendon

Goes on to propose offering a 2nd rd. pick for him! Like the panthers would be interested in trading a 1st rd., pro bowl, stud RB for a 2nd rd pick.

Some of the comments on the article are downright laughable...but they're Lions fans so....

A 2nd round pick is 'an offer we can't refuse'?

Try Megatron and your 2nd and we’ll talk buddy.

What a joke.

If anyone in the Lions organization actually thought for a second that a 2nd round pick would be enough to get DeAngelo Williams it would explain why the Lions are the Lions.

Did anyone see the post by "KTI" in the comments?

Now THAT one is funny.

“If I was running the show, I’d give up the second-round pick (34th overall) for Williams. Will that be enough? I don’t know, but my guess is that the Lions are certainly going to ask.”-Killer

The top pick in the 2nd round for a slightly above average running back on a team so desperate for D help, O-line help & depth everywhere. Wow. This may not top Killer’s proclamation of two years ago when he stated the Lions should do “whatever it took” to get Derek Anderson because QBs like him only come around “once every ten years or so”, but its close in its silliness.

I hope I speak for tens of thousands of Lions fans when I say, emphatically, that I’m glad you’re NOT running the show, Killer.

Poor, misguided soul.

Especially since DeAngelo is probably worth more than the auto industry at this point.

Those comments are more loaded than you can point a sticking Toyota accelerator at.
