Panthers RB Deangelo Williams Has Minor Surgery
Gantt: At any rate, made a few calls, and it doesn't sound like anything serious. It was something to do with the foot/ankle issues that kept him on the sidelines late in the season (he missed the final two games, and lost the team rushing title to backup Jonathan Stewart), and was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, the foot-ankle specialist who just happens to be the Panthers team doctor.
This was just cover for replacing his internal nuclear battery pack

This is a bad sign... maybe we should trade Smitty for someone like Chris Johnson
With 3 ProBowl RBs we will be unstoppable, and splitting carries in thirds… those guys can play till they’re in their 70’s!
I kid! After yall ganged up on me, I couldn’t resist.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Glad to know it’s nothing serious… I bet D-Will comes out the gate burnin’em next year, being Stewart beat him in yardage.. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone :).
Helpful reminder for James at seasons end: 2nd Rnd CSR Fan Draft Pick.
Wonder if Stewart will make it injury free through an off-season?
And actually get to practice some?

Well...
Given he’s already had surgery this offseason, it would be hard for him to do that.

Hard to do what?
Practice? Get injured?

Get through "injury-free."
He already had an injury he needed surgery for.

Well then that's 2 injured "ProBowl" RBs in 1 offseason
Maybe we need a 3rd to sustain this winning formula that we can’t manage without.

I doubt it.
Stewart’s shown he can play through pain, and Williams usually can (although his occasional inability to do so is among the reasons I’d keep Stewart if we have to choose.)
