If you were left less-than-satisfied with the regular Fantasy Football Season (I know I was) then join my NFL.com league for the playoff challenge. There's no limit on the number of members and you can win a trip to the Super Bowl if you should get really lucky!
Updated New Rule
If you've played this game before you might want to know there is a new rule for the 2011 game:
The NFL Fantasy Playoff Challenge does have a new wrinkle this season, though, as you can start players in the Wild Card round that have byes (Patriots, Steelers, Falcons, Bears).
Why would you do this? Well, it's all part of the strategy. If you think the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl, you can start someone like Tom Brady or Benjarvus Green-Ellis in the Wild Card round. While they will receive no points in that round, Brady and Green-Ellis would be eligible to have their points doubled for the Divisional Round and tripled for the Conference Championship round. And if the Patriots do reach the Super Bowl, you would get quadruple the points in that round. The ultimate goal, of course, is to select the players who will advance the furthest into the postseason. It's also important to accumulate points with the same players from round to round.
That makes it even harder to figure out who to play!!!
Here's the rules for the CSR League
- Join the Cat Scratch Readers League via this link (it's free) The league password is panthers2011 (all lower case)
- Use your CSR username as your team name or I will never believe its really you if you win! I have already set mine up using 'Cardiac Cats' as my team name instead of Jaxon only because I did it before thinking of the rule...but now you know. Cardiac Cats FTW!
- Smack talk is required...so put up or shut up!
That's all I got, so let's have fun!
Update on Jan 6th, 2011 by Jaxon: We're up to 20 members but I'm sure we can get more than that. If you've never done a Playoff Challenge try it, its pretty fun and will keep you twisted trying to predict who will put up the most points
