Ive been a long time viewer of the Cat Scratch Blog, but ive finally decided to create and account and voice my opinion some. For the past two months the blog has been blowing up with talk about us drafting Andrew Luck out of Stanford. But what if he doesn't come out is the other question being heard. I believe if Luck comes out we should get him, but only if we get Jim as well, that maximizes his potential on the next level. But if he doesnt come out we honestly need to draft A.J. Green. The biggest thing ive noticed all season that should be very obvious to us all and the panthers staff as well is that when they give up the ball on 4 and outs the defense has no time to rest, but something i noticed in last weeks game against ATL in the few good series we had was when the offense was moving the ball they were taking up 6-7 mins per drive, and that allowed the defense to rest up and game plan for the next drive, so in the first 3 rounds we should go WR-(Georgia) Aj. Green OG-(Miami) Orlando Franklin DT-(South Florida) Terrell Mclain Or Marvin Austin (UNC) A.J. Green would help provide a 4th theart at WR if Smitty stays, I feel Lafell and Gettis are growing week in and week out and by next year there gonna be ready to produce. That's also how i feel with Clausen, very seldom has a QB came in and carried a City on his back, and thats exactly what we tried to do not only with Jimmy but also with Matt at the beginning of the season. With Franklin Hes a physical run blocker, and is a good pass blocker who could steal the starting RG position, and with either drafting Marvin or Terrell that would provied much needed talent and depth, I hate to say this but Austin's draft status if slipping like Hardy's did last year, and he could be our sleeper pick of this years draft. Even tho this is now a "QB" driven league, one thing that makes a great QB is the 5 guys that protect him every play, so why not bulk up our line so that way it can take the pressure off the defense. Just look at the picks ive suggested, let me know what you think and give me feedback!!! Thanks and im happy to finally be on this blog site :)
P.S. One reason im kinda iffy about drafting luck is i dont like to be wasteful and i hate that we might have wasted our 2nd round pick last year.
