Early in the 4th quarter of the Panthers loss to the Falcons the Panthers lost DE Everette Brown for the remainder of the season to a wrist injury:
"It occurred on his half-a-sack (with Nick Hayden
). They kind of all got there at the same time, and it got wedged in there," Fox said. "I think Everette's had a good year. A little up and down, but he had a good day yesterday up until the injury. He had become more productive here as of late."
Brown was having his best game as a pro having just recorded two sacks on back-to-back plays. Brown has been a source of scorn in Panther land since being the subject of a trade two seasons ago, costing the Panthers a #1 pick in this year's draft. Brown will be a key cog in the Panthers future pass rushing scheme, regardless of who the coach is. So if not for injury Brown would have been our Who Powered Through player of the week.
The Panthers also lost recently signed LB Jason Williams, who tore his ACL in practice last week. That's 13 players out for the season. Jordan Senn started in his place and played a pretty good game.
