Panthers LB Beason Still Motivated Despite 1-6 Record
Beason: Moving from middle to outside linebacker has definitely been hard on me because I know I have the ability to dominate a game. A lot of times when things aren’t going right people try to do other people’s jobs, which causes more confusion and problems in other areas. We are creatures of habit and it’s very hard to stay enthusiastic when things are constantly going bad for you. But a true champion never wavers, he realizes that when you reach your goal by going through obstacles and adversity, the reward is even bigger.
It’s important to remember that the reasons you have to keep fighting outweigh what you have sacrificed of your time and energy to try to get that win.
Interesting that he admits to a bit of a struggle in the switch to WLB.

That must be the greatest team Player i have ever seen
Moving from the position that puts him in the spotlight and doing it with grace and humility. That’s a great human being. I would name my son after him.

Can we put this on a plaque and erect a statue of Beast in front of Bank of America Stadium?

While she's recovering from the birth, just sneak in and change the chart.
Change the name to Beason, or if you’re really feeling ballsy, change it to Beast, and voila! Problem solved.

"So little Beasty, where's your daddy today?"
“My mom castrated him after he changed my name to Beast while she was recovering.”
But it would be a hell of a way to go out...

It could be...
Especially if it’s done in a moment of rage by a scorned woman. He could bleed to death, for one thing.
But on the other hand, why am I even having to defend what I said? It wasn’t mean to be literal … it was a joke, so just laugh it off (or not) and move on with your day.

...Seriously O....
The balls being cut-off might not kill you. But the one to the head sure would.

I can hear it now
Honey, can I take may balls to the game today? All the other guys are take theirs.
I guess honey, since you've been a good boy.
But make sure they are back in my purse by 7PM!

I don't know how far along she is...
But if she’s due around May, tell her to have it on May 2nd (5/2) and you can name him Beason because the 5/2 birthday would have to be a sign from above that his name was meant to be Beason all along.

Just need td to come back
But we don’t want TD to get rehurt by coming back too early
Not as awesome as Beason at MLB and beason isn't as awesome as TD at WLB
Kinda sucks for Connor but if TD comes back I think they will try to get a draft pick for him…. long as they feel comfortable that TD will stay healthy
yea lets just hope TD can still play like we know he's capable
The man hasn’t played a game in about a year
Beason was on WFNZ this evening (as he is every Thursday)
Great to listen to as always, but also illuminating.
He said of th CBA situation that he feels that lockout or not there will be a majority of the free agents back, however, his tone regarding DeAngelo Williams didn’t exhibit the same surety.
I don’t want to use quotation marks as I do not want to express him verbatim, but he said something very close to: Of course we want DeAngelo back next year, but you know it’s tough. Especially when you have a 13 overall pick sitting there as your backup and you know he’s going to be making more and more money every year.
I can’t really explain his tone, other than it was akin to the way he spoke about Julius Peppers this time last year and John Fox a couple of weeks back. To me, he didn’t sound like a guy who we be surprised if Williams wasn’t a Panther in 2011.

if that's true they better tag and trade
although I really hope you’re looking into it too much
He forgets though, John Fox is toast.
When the next coach comes in here, hopefully it will be one that actually WANTS to keep players here that will help us win a football game. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are two of the best backs in the NFL, and the Panthers have a boatload of cap space. If the new CBA gets finished, there is no reason at all we can’t bring him back, even if there is a cap space cut.

Honestly, I see a new head coach as a greater chance Williams will be gone- not less of a one.
The Panthers are in a very rarefied situation having two starting running backs. Look at the Arizona Cardinals for a similar situation- they had both Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald.
As soon as Boldin’s deal was up Whisenhunt was willing to trade him rather than cash strapping the team by keeping two #1 wide receivers.
So, while I agree there’s no financial reason we can’t bring him back… it’s unlikely a new head coach will have the same love affair with the run that Fox did and see a need to keep two Pro-Bowl caliber backs, especially with the emergence of Mike Goodson as a change of pace guy. I hope they’re both Panthers next year- but there’s not a single team in the league who has the same situation we do.

I don't think he'll be back...
I want D-Will to be a Panther, but I can deal with the idea of Stewie/Goodson if D-Will does go elsewhere or is franchised and traded. (And I mean IF, so D-Will fans please don’t flame me.)
It might be a possibility that they franchise him and try to trade him and get back into the 2nd round, since we lost our 2nd round pick in the Armanti trade.

I dont think they trade him for a second round pick
Not in this weak draft. Maybe they trade him for a second this draft & a second in the following draft. I just dont think the players coming out in this draft are going to be worth near what Williams is worth, maybe the first 10 picks will be but thats about it.
