After three quarters and half a minute the Panthers were suddenly only down a touchdown and feeling energized. A few minutes in game time later the Ravens would return two straight Brian St. Pierre (BSP) passes for TDs to finally put the Panthers away. Up until that point BSP had managed to avoid the big mistakes many were expecting. As it was the Panther offense produced one great play, a couple okay drives and little else.
The defense on the other hand gave up a big play early but then tightened up later. As I peruse the gamebook here's some the notable stats for the Panthers:
- QB St. Pierre was 13 for 28 for 173 yards, TD, 2 INT for a 48.7 - Pretty much what I was expecting
- RB Mike Goodson had 120 yds on 22 carries and 5 rec for 31 yards - a very nice day for the lone bright spot for the offense
- WR David Gettis had the longest score from scrimmage for the season, an 88 yard TD to start the 4th quarter
Overall until the two defensive scores later the Panthers kept this one respectacle...like I said "until". It's hard to say you gained anything after a 24 point loss.
So let's hear from you Panther fans...see anything you liked in this game?
