Bears vs. Panthers Key Match-up
With the news that Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is 'probable' due to a leg injury it made me wonder if the Panthers might reduce his carries this Sunday and instead give RB Jonathan Stewart his first significant action. It would make sense and might be a needed change that could surprise the Bears. Stewart being the bruiser he is can 'soften' up the defense so to speak that might make them susceptible to Williams cut backs in the 2nd half.
On the Bears side their defense is sure to play a safety in the box and gear up stop the Panthers running game. That safety will most likely be former Panther Chris Harris, which leads me to our feature match-up when the Panthers offense is on the field.
Panthers RB Jonathan 'Stiff Arm' Stewart vs. Bears SS Chris 'Hitman' Harris
So if and when Stewart gets to the second level and meets Harris head on who will win? Will Stewart truck him or will Harris lay the wood and stop Stewart in his tracks?
I've embedded highlight video's for both players after the jump. Please view and then take the poll
Let's start with Chris Harris highlights:
Now Jonathan Stewart's 2008 highlights, which selected since it includes a run against the Beats around the :45 sec mark. Also, though Stewart put up more yards in 2009 he had way more impressive runs in 2008, including the legendary Rhonde Barber body slam.
I pine for the Stewart of 2008!

HOOve
I notice 45 was laying the boom on most of those runs by Stiff Arm Stew
12-4 still gets us in the playoffs
we can only hope with all this playing time Fiametta
will pick it up. It would be worth paying Hoov just to come back and coach Fiametta…
Rules and Regulations of the Game: 89, Bottom Line
Fiammetta is a student of the game
He is still learning, but he takes film study very seriously. He will continue to improve. Physically he is a special player. Once he gets the mental aspect of the FB position down we will be reaping the benefits.
I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else.
