Fantasy Alert: Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart to Start
If you've had Stewart on your bench wondering when he would be a good start, now is the time:
Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams doubtful after missing Friday's practice. WR Devin Thomas (groin) also doubtful. Otah out.
Stewart is ready to make a mark on this season!

I have him in the CSR league...
But our running game has been bad enough (and he hasn’t looked good either) that I am actually going to continue to keep him benched in favor of Maurice Jones-Drew, who gets to play every week, and Thomas Jones who has an incredible matchup against Buffalo and has been on fire lately.
Gotta put personal allegiances aside for fantasy.
Unofficial Agent for Armanti Edwards, WR #10, Carolina Panthers
I think with Stewart running most plays and the passing game
picking up a little bit they will have a good running game. I got him starting in mine.
Now I'm going to imagine the Empire theme from Star Wars whenever Stewart gets given the ball.

I had Stewart when the season started. Hate to say it but i let him go few weeks ago. I was still pulling for him in my heart but my brain made me cut him . Nothing Personal lol. He needs the carries imo. Might snap him into that next gear. Getting some consistency.
I got him off the wire a few weeks ago...
I figured Williams would miss a start eventually and Stewart would be ready for one of those 150 yds, 2 TD days he has every season
I think..
So long as our O-line is playing badly, Stewart is our best option.. Tell’em to lower that shoulder and run over anything that gets in his way. Even if we’re not getting those break away runs from last year, a 3 yard gain is better than a loss of 1.
Statistically, they’re decently stout though, in the upper half of the league against the run. I say we go out there and smash them in the mouth with Stewart on our first few plays then, right when they think they’re going to key in on the run, let Matt open up the passing game… [stop reading here if you don’t want to hear of my man-crushes]… with a deep touchdown to Gettis. On the pursuing kick-off, Eric Norwood forces a fumble and recovers it. The next play, Moore hits Gettis for another TD. 6 plays, 4 run, 2 pass, 70 yds, 2 td’s, 14-0, 50 minutes of game play left.
Final stats:
Matt Moore 24/30 for 360yds, 4 tds.
David Gettis: 5 receptions, 120 yds, 2 TD.
Steve Smith: 6 receptions, 100 yds, 1 TD
Jonthan Stewart: 22 carries, 240yds, 10.9yds/carry avg.
Eric Norwood: 20 billion sacks (limited play time), 1 FF, 2 recovery
Greg Hardy: 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 recoveries, 1 TD.
The final score is 57-21. Rams score 3 touchdowns after Bradford and Feeley are both removed from the game thanks to Hardy and Norwood setting a universe record in sacks and we allow them to rent Edwards for the last 4 minutes of the game so they don’t have to forfeit. Edwards would have been 14/14 but their receivers dropped all of them, thus he was forced to throw, catch, and run the ball himself for those 3 touchdowns.
How’s that for uncompromising, biased, extreme, relentless homerism? Did I forget anything?
Overall Panthers Draft Grade: A
That was quite the piece of fiction there D-R...though I'll take the 240 yds by Stewart
Let’s say combined yards as he scores on a 60 yd swing pass…so 150 rushing, 90 receiving and 2 TD’s…= a very nice day
Kasay Scores a TD
off of a fake field goal, that we did on first down. Baker does the same on a fake punt, again on first down.
If we’re playing like that, I don’t think we’ll ever see a 4th down.
