My apologies if you are already tired of this topic but I find Harrison's response to the fine slightly absurd. I doubt he is really serious about retiring but since its a very hot topic I thought I would share:
"How can I continue to play this game the way that I've been taught to play this game since I was 10 years old? And now you're telling me that everything that they've taught me from that time on, for the last 20-plus years, is not the way you're supposed to play the game anymore. If that's the case I can't play by those rules."
Really, so these were examples of 'form' tackles they teach 10 yr old's? Here is the video of the two hits if you haven't already seen them:
So I ask you, is that a 'form' tackle Harrison utilized or do you think he was out to inflict damage on the receiver? Looks to me he came in high, never even raised his arms for either tackle until after the hit. The Massoqui hit was worse as the WR had just turned from catching the ball and had no chance to protect himself before the hit. So they teach kids to not use their arms for a tackle? So let's do one more poll on this topic and we will move on. Thanks
