We have a pretty good collection of juniors that have declared for the April draft. Might one of these be a player the Panthers select?
DECLARED FOR DRAFT:
Jahvid Best, RB, California
Antonio Brown, WR, Central Michigan
Joe Haden, CB, Florida - Can you have too many good CBs?
Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida
Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
Rennie Curran, LB, Georgia - Mid-round pick possibility
Reshad Jones, S, Georgia - yet another good Bulldog safety
Demaryius 'Bey Bey' Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech - a 2nd round option to replace Moose (whenever he leaves)
Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois
Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa - played well in the Orange Bowl
Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas - another solid WR that could wear the electric teal
Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan
Jevan Snead, QB, Mississippi - interesting prospect the Panthers might consider
Mico McSwain, WR, North Alabama
Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame - we can dream can't we?
Thaddeus Gibson, DE/OLB, Ohio State
Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma - If only he would slide a little
Dominique Franks, CB, Oklahoma
Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma - Gresham would be hard to pass on if he was there
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma - I'd take this kid no matter how many DTs we have
Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State - No way Bryant makes it to the 2nd round
Navorro Bowman, OLB, Penn State
Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
Carlton Mitchell, WR, South Florida
First impression is there are a lot of WR's coming out (7), meaning the Panthers could find a nice one sliding to their 3rd round pick. They don't hesitate to snatch up the sliding player.
There's also a couple good QBs in there, again creating the possibility of a player to slide to the Panthers.
