I think that’s an accurate description on our end of the story. I think this rumor had no legs on the Carolina end. However, considering the fact that Holmgren ended up sticking with Mangini (a defensive minded coach) I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wthin the Cleveland Browns organization “floated this story” to a reporter as a trial balloon to see if Fox or Richardson might bite on it.
I don’t think Fox intends to go anywhere and certainly not to a west coast offense team.
