Top 5 Explanations for Peppers, McKinnie Missing PB Practice
So by now you’ve heard our own DE Julius Peppers missed a mandatory practice at the Pro Bowl and now faces a fine from the NFL. He wasn’t the only one, Vikings LT Bryant McKinnie was conspicuously missing as well.
Maybe playing in the Pro Bowl isn't a big deal for Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie and Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers.
How else can we explain the two skipping out on practice Friday?
How else can it be explained you ask? Well I can think of a number of plausible reasons why these two competitors might skip a practice….together?
Explanation 1: They both went to see a South Beach Jamaican psychic. Peppers is trying to decide if he should leave Carolina or not stay. McKinnie wants to know if he is going to be abused by Peppers again next season so he plan to get injured right beforehand.
Explanation 2: Peppers was meeting with Dolphins GM Bill Parcels about coming to Miami. McKinnie was just along for Parcells autograph.
Explanation 3: McKinnie offered to settle the score with Peppers with a bragging rights match-up playing Madden10. After all, he has a better chance of winning the match-up in Madden.
Explanation 4: They were toilet papering Drew Brees room.
Explanation 5:
I’ll leave that one to you guys…any other explanations?

Peppers wanted to finish the job he started in that Vikings game.

The night before Peppers told McKinnie he'd buy him a beer....
to make up for the embarrassment he caused him, one beer became 5, then came the shots…..and they stayed up partying all night with the ladies on south beach.

Hahaha! Some good ones!
I think Pep had a flat tire and McKinnie offered to give him a ride. On the way, McKinnie spotted a McDonald’s. He quickly whipped the McCar in the McParking-lot, and 35 McHappy-Meals later Peppers is still wondering “WTF?!”.

Agent?
Peppers’ agent told him to hold out for a longer contract with more money in a city other than Miami.
Because his agent is an idiot.

Peppers ditched...
he heard he wasn’t going to be making $1 mil this game, figured he doesn’t play for any less.

McKinnie's been kicked off the team.
Claims he wasn’t able to go, but admits to clubbing.

Mckinnie is a playboy
Which for someone that big is quite remarkable.

This is no joke, he has been kicked off the team
Here is his excuse, he had to ‘withdraw’:
Here’s the latest McKinnie tweet on it: “Had 2 withdraw from Pro Bowl! I’ve been playing thru pain the last month and need time 2 let my body heal.”
So just say you aren’t going to play instead of not showing up. That’s crap and he knows it. What a chump!

Funny...
People lauded Rivers for the exact same decision.

Mckinnie was kicked off the team
That “tweet” is just an effort for him to keep face. Rivers on the other hand withdrew.

Apples and Oranges.
Rivers didn’t commit to the ProBowl, fly down to Miami then refuse to show up to practice.

mckinnie and pep
i heard the NFC only has two OT for this game now that McKinnie is out. that is plain ridiculous. how could they not have at least three back-ups. so now those two guys have to play the whole game? someone should be fired.
as for peppers, have we even offered him a contract. it seems that right now, he’s not holding out or anything. i would think that we should have offered him a contract by now. what do you think? is there an offer i don’t know about?

Panthers "will not make an effort" to keep Peppers...
Hard to believe we could just let such a “world-beating”, “dynamic” player go.

thats bs
I don’t know where that quote is comming from but I’m assuming its an NFL insider…no one from the panthers organization is going to tell a “mouth” what they are going to do. Its speculation. They will offer him a reasonable deal. If there’s no cap and he refuses then he will be tagged. There’s no way they make the decision to spend so much cap room on him last year when it tied their hands on making other moves to just let him go this year when it can’t hurt us to put the tag on. I think he will be tagged if he’s smart.
Richardson you better not screw this up for me!
