@ChrisHarrisNFL 's Fave Moments of '09 - My First Turnover Against the New York Jets
I wanna throw down another one of my favorite moments of '09; but, before I do, go ahead catch up on the others I've mentioned by checking out the links below...
- My Return from Injury Against the Washington Redskins
- Jonathan Stewart Rushes for 206 Yards
So what's another favorite moment of mine from '09? ...I'm gonna have to go with my first turnover of the season against the New York Jets. Even though we lost the game, I can't help but hang on to the memory of that Sunday, because that one play was able to ignite what I feel was a pretty impressive season of me disrupting offenses.
I ended my drought with a forced fumble as a Jet (I forgot who) was on his way into the end zone. He would have scored, but I popped the ball out of his hands on the one yard line, where we then recovered it for a touchback. The momentum I gained from that turnover was enough to get the ball rolling for what was a pretty good season of stealing footballs. I believe each of the following five games had one of my turnovers attached to them, so, needless to say, I was back to my old, thievin' self again.

looks like you got the FF against Dustin Keller
I know what you mean with how it effects ego. Those drougts can be rough. Im glad that it turned your season around. Lord know we wouldnt have survived if the hitman wasn’t doin his thing
All of you guys started going nuts for that ball, the amount of turnovers in the latter half of the season was ridiculous. I get extra pumped when our boy 43 makes the play. Can’t wait to see the Hitman at it again next season. I especially like those late, game-sealing interceptions, the last nail in the coffin.
We love your thievin ways Hitman!
We played the Jets tough for sure. Though they didn’t reach the big game it shows how far a strong defense can take a team, even with a rookie QB.
I can say without a touch of Homer-ism that this Panthers team is prime for a run next season. If the Saints win the SB when we will make it 2 years in a row for the NFC South!
