intresting stat
I have been looking at who should the panthers get rid of and i came on a stat that showed that Hollis Thomas has more points scored (2 on saftey) as a Carolina panther during his partial season then Dwanee Jarret has in his entire carrer. Go Figure. This means that we really are in need of some recievers. Also everybody check out the injury page and either laugh or cry. here are our projected non-injured Starters on offense.
QB: A. Feeley
RB: M. Goodson
FB: B.Hoover
WR1: D.Jarret
WR2: K. Moore
RT: R. Petitti
RG: K. Vincent
C: R.Kalil
LG: M. Bernadeau
LT: T. Wharton
TE: J.King
Compare that to a preferable lineup
QB: M. Moore
RB: D. Williams
FB: B.Hoover
WR1: S. Smith
WR2: M.Muhammad
RT: J. Otah
RG: K. Vincent
C: R.Kalil
LG: T. Wharton
LT: J. Gross
TE: J.King
say WOW!
Note: many players are Probable on the injury but just wanted to add them as out for entertainment

nice lineup
and hollis thomas is a scoring machine hahaha
i shed tears (only a few) for Jarrett, but sometimes players are busts….
If we can utilize him like we did in 08
on short screens across the middle, he could be a semi-effective weapon. But if that’s the only thing he can do, time to say goodbye.

Slants across the middle
He caught half the passes that were thrown his way — would’ve been more had Jake been more accurate — and picked up first downs on a majority of those catches. He only dropped one.
He wasn’t targeted much, just 24 times. With Smitty out Sunday, I expect he’ll be activated for a change, and get some opportunities from Moore.
He did have one TD a few games ago, but it was called back due to a penalty (may have been on him.)
This game will give Jarrett and K. Moore chances to show if they’ve got anything.
agree on slants
that’s what Jarrett was doing at USC, nothing but and his YAC were amazing. I think that panthers are trying to use his height and jumping ability for deep passes but he can’t do that at the NFL level.

It was on him.
End of the NE game.

Thank you -- it was a pushoff, if I recall.
He did get opportunities today from Moore, didn’t he? And took full advantage of them, too. A couple nice catches, on a couple nice throws.
With another pushoff, yeah.

Both announcers agreed with me.

I believe they said he "got separation"
It’s a pretty standard move by experienced receivers, notably Muhsin — nothing illegal about it — had it been blatant, the official would’ve called it, as he did on the TD reception I referred to originally, which was nullified.
No need for you to denigrate his accomplishment — it was a nice one-handed catch. And it certainly ignores the other fine receptions he made this game — the FD in traffic on 3rd down, and especially the TD catch.
The announcers expressed opinions that both of those were fine catches — were they agreeing with you there, too?
Let me say this with all good intent — it’s fine for you (or anyone) to be critical of a player’s mistakes — but you so seldom give credit for a job well done, when it’s by a player you don’t care for. I wonder why that is. Seriously, I’d like a considered answer, not some sarcastic dismissal. Thanks in advance, should you be inclined to make a reasoned reply.
How exactly would you presume to know Jarrett is a "player I don't care for?"

It's not a penalty unless they call it
Like holding.

So you'll never complain about Peppers "getting held constantly" again?

I'm not one who does
Now if he gets clotheslined, the refs should see it, but just your average, run of the mill, “holding” won’t make me scream.
