Peter King strikes again...

Today on SI.com and in the upcoming print edition the annual 'NFL Preview' is being published. Care to guess how our Panthers were evaluated by Mr. King? I'll give you a hint... it's Peter King

Yes, Peter King has given us the overall prediction of 9-7 and missing out on the playoffs. He has three teams from the NFC North making the playoffs (Bears winning the division, Packers and Vikings as wild cards).

There are a few other head scratchers in his picks: The Eagles going 9-7 with the Cowboys going 10-6. The Houston Texans winning the AFC South and the KC Chiefs going 8-8.

Also... the Patriots beating the Bears in the Superbowl.

Are we really surpised by this? When King isn't filling his 'Monday Morning Quarterback' column with his travel reviews of hotels he's stayed at, or what he ordered at Starbucks he's consistently snubbing, or denegrating the Carolina Panthers. He has consisently had it in for the team, and when he's not ignoring them entirely he's making ridiculous claims about our player's propensity to injury. The only time he speaks about the Panthers at all is when there is an off the field issue, or as part of a storyline that includes a large market team.

So, am I off base with my ire at Mr. King's predicitions? Or, do you think I'm right in thinking his predicitions are foolish and ridiculous?
