Keys to Eagles - Panthers Game
When Panthers are on offense:
O-Line vs. D-Line
Trio TE play
***** Quick Note.. Maybe I'm wrong.. but since we have Gary Williams, Deangelo will have to have D. Williams on his Jersey(instead of williams)
When Panthers are on defense:
# 3 WR vs. # 3 CB
Blitzing Capabalities
D-Line vs. O-Line
*Special Teams
anaylsis after jump
O-Line vs. D-Line
If the O-Line can keep the D-line from moving them back, Jake will have a solid pocket and time to throw.. also RB Trio will have more room to run
Mike Goodson
Where will he fit into the equation.. we only saw him in the preseason in a one-back set.. when Deanglelo was off the field... add in J-Stew.. and where does Goodson fit? Will we line him up as slot WR, Every other 3rd Down back, or will we see him in the WILDCAT.. as a possible (ricky williams) like miami uses him.
Dwayne Jarrett
Can Dwayne continue his mediocre to good preseason performance, and continue that into the regular season.. I think this was a good preseason for him.. but will he be able to take pressure off of Smitty and MOose.. also how many games till Moore replaces him..
Trio TE play
I believe that when Jaxon had conversation with philly's guy.. he mentioned that Eagles weakness was Pass Catching TE's... and boy do we have a supply of that... Is that in the gameplan.. will we see King, Barnidge, and Rosario targeted more than usual?
---------------------------------------------
# 3 WR vs. # 3 CB
We all know that Starters are Marshall and Gamble.. but when nickel comes in who will it be?... I believe that it's gonna be C.J.Wilson, although I have no confidence in him.. we're matching up against a pretty good eagles recieveing corps.. Kevin Curtis, Deasean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin (not mentioning Hank Baskett)..
Blitzing Capabalities
With a pass-heavy recieving corps and pass-heavy QB.. and Good Runner will we stack up the box.. and blitz.. I think that is what we should do.
D-Line vs. O-Line
The Eagles Starting LG is out, and their RG did not practice today... will the D-Line take advantage of thier disadvantage... also who's starting opposite Lewis.. will it be Leonard or Hayden... I think Hayden, only because Leonard hasn't learned the system quite yet...
Chris Gamble
Chris Gamble's mediocre preseason will not cut it in the regular season.. he'll be up against Kevin Curtis and more importanly speedy Deasean Jackson.. he better keep up with him... hope to see a pick six on sunday
Brian Westbrook
With our lackluster Run Defense game.. will Panthers and Ron Meeks change that...
*Special Teams
HOw will our Kickoff and Punt Coverage be... who's returning punts... will goodson break one? How many tb's for Lloyd? 2,3,4,5???
ANOTHER LAST MINUTE KEY..
Injury Bug:
Chris Harris.. got banged in the knee... limited on WEd. and missed Thu.. this might be a bad sign.. with another safety already banged up... expect to see quinton teal if harris can't go. but don't be surprised if Sherrod Martin comes in.. same for Dante Wesley
Jon Beason... he's been practicing with a "moderate-big sized" brace... is he truly ready/
CANT WAIT

Five more keys...
1. Contain Westbrook. Both running and screen passes. Force McNabb to beat us.
2. No turnovers. This (of course) includes punt returns, Jake, and Goodson.
3. No points from anything but the Eagles offense. No kick/punt/fumble/int returns for TDs.
4. Pick on Macho Harris. As a VT alum I know Harris is good, but he has never played safety before (at least not in college). He’s going to miss some assignments (think Godfrey last year).
5. Carry over last years high red zone TD%. That’s why the “cardiac cats” are (almost) always in a possition to win at the end of the game.
It’s going to be a great game…Go Panthers!
