I just closed down comments on the Michale Vick fanpost due to excessive violations of the Code of Conduct. Just to refresh your memory:
This blog is intended for a community of NFL football fans with obvious leanings to the Carolina Panthers. Please refrain from excessive profanity and hate-speak to other members. Also, lets stay on topic and avoid threads related to non-sport issues, in particular politics and religion. It is also common courtesy when referencing other peoples work to provide a link. Anyone who cannot follow these simple rules may or may not be given a warning before being banned.
There are plenty of sites to discuss your religious and political views but this site is NOT one of them. Please guys lets keep the discussion on football. I really don't want to ban any of you but its getting old.

Who cares? This is america, let these idoits say whatever they want. Just do not honor them with your response. That is the professional way to handle the situation. Are you going to ban everyone that acts like a tool bag? You have had issues with me in the past and you still let me post comments on your blog. They are just trying to get a rise out of you and you are falling directly into their trap. It is all apart of the game. Don’t you belong to any fantasy football leagues?

I just see it going on between other readers. Yes, I will ban anyone who continues to act like a ‘toolbag’ if they ignore my warnings. There are hundreds of sites to discuss those other topics but its not going to be here. People come here to read about the Panthers, period…or are YOU just trying to get a rise of me?

I wasn't taking names at this point...
but I want to clarify something. The issue is not that people are arguing politics/religion. Even if they agreed on all points the topics are off limits period, good, bad and certainly ugly. Sorry if this position offends someone but this site is about football and that’s the way I want to keep it.

I believe that even in the blogging world you should carry on a conversation as if the person is right there in front of you. I doubt that many of the things said on here between folks would be stated face to face.
