If it ain't us...
We know this is the Panthers year to win it all. But, if by some freak turn of events, we don't win it. I think the Patriots will. Think about last year's 11-5 team. Then you add Fred Taylor, Joey Galloway, Derrick Burgess...and Tom Brady! What do you think? The Steelers haven't changed and the Eagles are supposedly better, even though I can't stand them. Then there are always unknowns such as the Chargers and their claim of LT being on the downside, and their QB who wants an Eli Manning like contract. The Giants will be tough again, too, but minus Plax and Ward. Let me know what you think, and then enjoy football every weekend from now until February.

Baltimore could make some noise
but yeah, the Pats and Steelers in the AFC. Eagles, Panthers, Giants and maybe Vikings in NFC.

No way on Vikings !!
Vikings have literally no chance this year; Just I will give you the fact that they have Jared Allen and Peterson however NO QBBBBBB ???? Jackson is bad and the record the past two years tells us that. Also Sage is not much better at all !!!

If Trent Dilfer can win a Super Bowl with a good defense and running game, so can Tavaris Jackson...
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

A QB isn't everything, especially with the Vikings....
I won’t lie, both Sage and Tarvaris suck. Period. If you try to dispute that, then you have no business posting here.
However, the Vikings have literally a Pro-Bowl defensive line, they have a strong offensive line and one of the best RB’s in the league in Adrian Peterson. They have a trio of strong linebackers and a decent secondary. They added one of the most explosive players coming out of college in Percy Harvin. In my mind, this team can go 10-6 just by handing the ball to AP and Taylor each and every play.
All Sage or Tarvaris needs to learn to do is work the play action. Work it, and work it good. And if you can’t hit those wide open receivers that come as a result, then you deserve to fail.

Rosenfels was a fine QB in Houston.
In a situation where he’ll have a great defense and running game to prop him up, there’s no reason to think he can’t be an above-average player.
Remember, kids...don't ever let facts get in the way of your argument.

Top 5 in each conference (no particular order)
AFC: Ravens, Pats, Dolphins (?), Steelers, Colts
NFC: Giants, Panthers, Cardinals, Cowboys, Eagles

BTW:
I don’t expect the Cards or Dolphins to be as good as last year, but Miami is continually improving (the Pats are the division fav though) and the Cards are still an enigma (a fluke last year?).
The Colts are merely mentioned because Peyton is always a threat, and the Cowboys (w/o TO, but still with Romo) are bound to be better than most of the NFC – albeit not a division winner (Eagles/Giants will fight for that).

That could happen. Here are my predictions:
AFC: Pats, Steelers, Chargers, Ravens, Texans
NFC: Panthers, Giants, Packers, Cowboys, Cardinals

Rosenfels will be decent
He has a run game which he didn’t have in Houston, plus the O-line is significantly better. He also has Detroit twice. I think New England has a great shot at the Super Bowl, they have dangerously retooled. But I think if it’s not us, it’s the Saints/Chargers in the Super Bowl, LT will show everyone he’s not over the hill.

+1
Sage is an upgrade over Tarvaris Jackson. Not by much. But Minnesota has far pieces in place that can benefit him than his previous teams. The Vikings could make some noise, especially within their division. They should get two easy wins over Detroit. And, even if they split with Chicago and Green Bay, that leaves them 4-2 in their division. Assuming either Chicago or Green Bay is able to pull off the same feat, it’ll come down to how they fare against the rest of their respective schedules to determine who wins the NFC North. I’d take the Vikings’ defense over Green Bay’s or Chicago’s right now. Thus, they have the edge in my mind. And that puts them in the playoffs.
From there, it’s anybody’s game. But, a stout defense and a strong running game are the two best things you can have going for you in the postseason. If Minnesota gets there, they’ll definitely have both those things to lean upon.
But that’s just my two-cents,
