I’m feeling a lot better by the day, I’m encouraged by how I feel right now. For me it’s all about getting back on the field. The crazy part is, even though Week 1 isn’t the Super Bowl, or the playoffs, of a game for the division title, I want to play, and I’d be willing to suck it up.
But this is a long season, and I have to make sure I’m healthy for the long haul.

We are very lucky we grabbed him
Beason is fast becoming my favorite Panther.
I still remember draft day:
Mel Kiper: “Obviously John Fox sees something he likes, but I think this is too early for Beason. He had a solid career at Miami, but I don’t see his game translating to the next level like a Patrick Willis. I projected him as a late 2nd, early 3rd round pick. This fills a need, but too early for Beason”
I think 99% of Panther fans would agree that Beason was the best LB from that draft. The media can dote on Willis all they want, but Beason is the better player.
Comparable talents...
maybe.
But I wouldnt go as far as to say he is a better player.
Willis is sick.

I think both are great and wouldn't mind having either one on the Panthers.
Willis is an exceptional athlete, while Beason is an exceptional leader with elite instincts.

Willis is great, no doubt
But his numbers are overblown because there is a severe lack of playmakers on the 49ers. Beason is a far superior leader and has all the physical tools.
In review, I should have followed my comment with a solid ‘In my opinion’.

This debate will continue throughout their careers
But after Rucker and Minter left, we really needed a leader on defense. Beason has welcomed that role.

I hate to be a stat boy but through 2 season, Willis’ numbers are slightly better. Plus, he plays for SF & they really dont have anyone else on D that stands out. I respect Willis alot, I watched him at Ole Miss & saw how dominant he can be. I never saw Beason at Miami, but he has stepped up & shown great leadership skills. I didnt like his comment about needing to have a big DT to take up most of the blocks for him so he can make plays. If he was truely a “beast” he wouldnt say something like that.
He was just stating the obvious
Everyone was aleady thinking it. And its not like basketball where a star player can carry a team… every position requires another position to be solid.

this sucks!
After all the injury’s we have had williams sat out of practice today with a sore knee and more than likely will not play saturday.
He'll be fine...
…Darin Gantt reported he practiced today and that probably means he’ll play at least a few series against Baltimore. We’ll see on Saturday night, I guess.
The first line of the quote from Beason's blog
Reminds me of that little puking ghost girl in the 6th Sense when she says, “I’m feeling much better now”
