Wow, I've never heard of a o-line being so depleted
Last year there wasn’t anyone with talent and experience to block for him in College Station. The one veteran tackle that the Aggies had got hurt. Another was kicked off the team. Their starting guard had to play with two subluxed shoulders since there was no one else to take his spot. One guard had to slide over to tackle and he did his best but was obviously out of position. It got so bad that A&M had to pull the redshirt off a freshman half way through the season just so they could get through the Iowa State game with enough bodies. That freshman started and played the entire game for what might be his only significant playing time.
Geez, to unredshirt a guy mid-game is unheard of

It certainly makes me feel better
Given how his college production dropped every year, I was thinking he was a real head-case. I’m glad to see there’s another plausible reason. And even if he does have maturity problems (and I think he does), we have a good environment to deal with those.
Who doesn't have maturity problems in their early 20s?
And I agree that we have a good environment for him. We have many humble, team-first players. And Goodson is still young enough to be humbled by their veteran leadership. Once the season starts and DeAngelo and Steve start getting all the attention, he will learn where his place is.
