QB Brett Favre to Sign With Vikings
Why won't this guy go away? How desperate must the Vikings be to sign a 65 year old QB? $12M for one season of INT's and lost dreams? Must be nice to have $12M still laying around. I bet he's out by the time we see them week 15.

And with this signing, the Vikings have grown wings.
Good god guys! The Vikings have gained the amazing ability to pass the football! We’re screwed! We’re screwed man!

Not hardly...no way he lasts the entire season

No matter what criticism could ever be leveled at the Panthers...
Let us take a minute to be thankful we’re not the Vikings or Raiders… the two modern jokes of the NFL.
So who is going to be the first one...
to suggest we sign Tavaris Jackson…assuming the Vikings get rid of him of course. I know someone is going to say it, so we just may as well get it over with.
Favre wasn't terrible with the Jets last year
but they fell short in the last few weeks WHEN IT MATTERED. However, the Jets obviously did not have Peterson, whose 30+ carries a game will take the pressure off Favre. Expect the Vikes to win the North, but they won’t be 12-4 or anything, maybe 10-6.
Kind of like the 20 million dollars 50 year old inconsistant, turnover machine Delhomme was signed to huh? lol. You guys are unbelievable. And after last nights game I wouldnt be so quick to start throwing insulting labels at QB’s, lord knows this teams QB situation is comical to say the least.
Break up the Panthers, trade Delhomme, trade Smith, start the team over! The Panthers first team offense had one bad preseason quarter. It’s all over baby blue! 1-15 here we come! Fire Fox, hire Cowher and trade for Matt Cassel!

Random interesting fact.
There are only two players still active in the NFL from the draft of 91. The first is of course Brett Favre. The 2nd is our kicker John Kasey.
The more that you know.

He's old but he still has game
Favre immediately makes Berrian and Harvey legitimate threats at the WR position. He can sit back and manage the game by handing off to Peterson, and as soon as the defense stacks the box he has the arm to make them pay.
Playing behind one of the best lines in the league, with one of the best backs, Favre has extended his career in the place where he will likely get the best results. If he can last the season without getting hurt, he could seriously end his career with a bang.
For what it's worth
Elway won a Super Bowl at 38. Favre is 39. I can tell you from experience that there’s not necessarily a big drop-off in physical ability between the two ages… :)
yeah, its all down hill when you hit 40...lol
and 45 is downright ancient! har har

The only thing that will save favre is handing the ball off to Peterson 55-60% of the time. The vikes are dangerous, but all we need to worry about is if he is healthy by the time he plays us.
I used to respect favre, but the guy is nothing but a selfish ass who loves to be in the spotlight at such an elderly age.
