Remembering Super Bowl XXXVIII
Sometimes it's good to look back into the past. Is our 2009 team better than these guys? Courtesy of NFL Films

Moose
How does a guy without great speed have the longest TD catch in SB history? I love it. Moose mashed some poor DB right into the earth and kept on running. It was so beautiful. It’s wild to me that we were so close and made a lot of mistakes to hurt ourselves. I think, just like the Rams’ loss to the Pats, that the more talented team lost because of mental errors. Jake completed less than 50% of his passes and the Pats had great field position all day. That’s not as bad as giving the ball to Marshall Faulk only 17 times the way the Rams did, but the end result was the same.

Watching this still makes me feel great.
Would have been nice to get the win, yes, but it was still a sight to see.

Somewhere deep inside...
I still believe that the Patriots cheated. Haha~
We’ll get them back one day.

Mick Mixon's tone is just right -

Rosinski’s got the FOOTBALL voice.

What did I hear?
“Touch Down! Perfect throw by Jake Delhomme”… And then “And this is what Jake Delhomme thrives in” What??? In the playoffs!!!

Mick is the only way I hear Panther games
So I’m not going to criticize, he sounds fine to me. But then again all I’ve heard is him and Eugene, so I may be misinformed.

Really I'm not very picky about commentators
Not like some people who say this guy sucks, this guy should be fired, this guy should be exiled to Panama, this guy makes me sleep, etc. Really I think those people just need something to complain about. Also, I like Eugene becuase he can break down the play and he adds energy to the booth. Everytime there is a big hit or play, “OH MY GOODNESS!!!” Some of my family listens just for that.

Eugene's okay. He's not really bad.
Mixon just sounds very calm and sedate as a commentator and dials the energy of the broadcast way down. When you listen on the radio, you have to be able to picture the game, which is Robinson’s role to describe the detail. But also the game is emotional because football is an exciting contact sport and your color-guy – in this case Mixon – should convey the excitement of the game. Unfortunately Mixon does not do this very well. If you have heard other team announcers, you would really notice the difference.
I was lucky enough a few years ago to travel by car to Pittsburgh on business and hear Myron Cope, the now-deceased color guy for the Steelers. I am not a Pittsburgh fan by any stretch, but Cope if you ever heard him sort of blended the goofiness of John Madden with the excitement of a college commentator. This guy was perfect – kept you tuned to the game the whole time by radio, whether you pulled for the home team or not.
Just a funny, good commentator. If you got 6 minutes, have a listen.

I'd watch, but a downside of living in South Africa is....
Pay-per-the-gig Internet. : ( Videos take a lot of space. I have noticed Mick get excited, but not as excited as some guys. I think you’re thinking of Jim Szoke, he sounds kind of bored sometimes.

They are both better than Bill Mass was as a TV commentator a few years back for FOX.
He made me not want to watch sometimes. I just ended up turning down the volume or muting the TV.

It wasn't that he was just bad at commentating.
He was often just wrong.
