You actually linked to the second page of the article...

But I fixed it. Happy reading, all.

This article has a lot of the same premises that I was trying to defend Jake with to southie the other day...

Notably, that Jake isn’t the first good QB (and won’t be the last) to have a not-so-great (or hell, even terrible) game, even in the playoffs. And check this out:

One nice thing about his game is that he still gets better in the fourth quarter. Although he’s ranked 18th in the league among active quarterbacks, in the fourth quarter he suddenly becomes the NFL’s fifth best, with a 97.8 rating. He actually led the league in completion percentage late in the game when the score was close.

Agreed.

He does turn it on late in the game. But if he starts off awful, he pretty much stays that way throughout.

Are you sure?

Can you qualify that statement?

I think you confuse some of us with just pure Jake-haters

I have been a huge Jake supporter. But as I pointed out there is something about the guy that makes you uncomfortable. Let’s say Smitty or DeAngelo had multiple fumbles that wound up costing us that game … we all would have been shocked! But with Jake too many of us just weren’t that surprised. We’ve come to expect great plays and horrific ones, and its a bit unnerving.

"But as I pointed out there is something about the guy that makes *you* uncomfortable."

He might make YOU uncomfortable, but you can only speak for yourself.

Turn on the radio

Or watch ESPN, NFLN… or go to a game. Jake-haters are plentiful! I do not have enough fingers to count how many “Jake you suck”s I hear in the upper deck.

I am speaking middle of the road. I am giving him his props, but not making excuses when he screws up.

Which props?

I’ve seen nothing positive about him from you other than comments in passing.
