Panthers waive rookie LBs
The Panthers have waived Mike Juergens and Brit Miller, a pair of UFA rookies. With no other reason to cut them at this stage, one would assume the team is close on negotiations with a couple of rookies for whom roster space is being made. Perhaps Duke Robinson and Corvey Irvin? That would leave just the two second-rounders left.

First rounders? Did you mean first 2 picks?

They do tend to start with the later rounds and work their way forward
Brown will be the last to go. Robinson has to kicking himself right now seeing what his signing bonus is going to be when he was projected to go 2-3rd round.

Still, though...
Dude should get upwards of $150K. Nothing to scoff at to play a game.

I knew Juergens might be a short-timer here during OTAs. We spoke one afternoon walking off the practice field, when he was dripping with sweat and I wasn’t far behind. Having been raised in Denver and playing his college ball at Wyoming, he wasn’t accustomed to the heat and humidity, and couldn’t believe Spartanburg was more damp, once I told him where Spartanburg was.
“I can’t imagine it being much worse than this,” he said.
