Visiting your Stadium....
Good Afternoon Fellas,
Panther Fans......I come in peace!!!
I will be visiting your city and stadium when my beloved Eagles come to town to open the season. I have been to Raleigh and Atlantic Beach/Emerald Isle several times, but never to Charlotte. I've not ever had one bad experience in your lovely state, and have contemplated a move to the Wake Forest area many times. I am excited to see a new city and stadium!
So....
What should I expect as a visiting fan wearing a jersey and cheering (tactfully) for my own team?
I know absolutely nothing about your stadium. Is sitting in the 500 level still OK for viewing? I've visited some stadiums where the upper deck is fine, and others where you watch the jumbo TV the entire time....
I just booked airfare (Huge sale on Expedia for $105 pp RT from Baltimore) and then looked on a map to find that Marriot Courtyard looked to be very convenient. Is that also a good area for bars and restaraunts?
I appreciate any info!

You’ll probably be ok cheering for the other team. It’s usually at least 20% of the fans rooting for the other guys. However, you might expect to catch more flack if you’re sitting in the 500s. The majority of people up there actually know what’s going on, as opposed to many of my fellow lower-level folk. I’ve sat all over the stadium, and I really didn’t mind anywhere I’ve sat, from the 8th row of the lower level to the club level to the front of the upper deck to the back rows of the upper deck. Obviously you won’t get the best views up high, but you can still tell what’s going on.

Sitting in the 500's...
…you make get some gentle razzing for rooting for the other team, but nowhere near what our fans would likely get if they visited Philadelpia’s stadium. Just don’t be obnoxious about anything or overindulge in the alcohol and you’ll probably be fine.
As for your hotel stay, it looks like you’ll be right on Tryon Street. So yeah, plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from while you’re here. Hope you have a good time! And be safe!
I sat in the 500s when I went
guessing it’s near the top, can’t really remember. Anyways, you should be able to see well, as long as you are not visually impaired or anything. : )
Thanks for your help so far guys. It’s always nice to know a little bit about what you’re getting yourself into. September cant come soon enough!!!!

My favorite seats would be...
…the first row in the upper deck in the end zone. I love getting the laterl and vertical perspective. I have sat in the lower level end zone seats, and hated it. There was no perspective vertically. IMO
Will Parker
Oh yeah that was nice
On our way out (we were stil playing but losing bad) we stopped there and boy was it nice. For someone who likes to break down plays it was like heaven. : )

I agree...
Though you obviously don’t feel the “in the game” sensation of being close on the lower deck, I think in terms of having the best overall view, the front of the upper deck is the best regardless of sport. For hockey, particularly, I love to be there.
