Vince Young wants out of Tennessee

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d810a0506&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

I'm not a fan of Young and I think he could improve his throws, but this kid still has potential and he's an athlete.

It sucks what happened in Tennessee but I think this kid has more to prove.

I doubt we can afford to grab anyone at the moment, but I think we really need more depth and competition at QB.

What do think of Vince Young and anywhere he could land at this point?

Young is awful...

QBs who can’t pass don’t make it in the NFL. I’d say his best shot to be successful is in a wildcat package.

Great college QB

But obviously doesn’t have what it takes if he can get beat out two seasons in a row by a journeyman QB like Kerry Collins. Not a fit in Carolina at all

nope

In fact I’d take Collins back over Young.

Dito

The QB needs to be a leader if not THE leader of the team. Last year VY reportedly thought about suicide after his injury/last start.

All jokes aside, I hope he has gotten some help and his mind is right.

I'd take Collins over Young, too...

…and Kerry has been very upfront regarding the mistakes he made during his stint with Carolina. He’s admitted to being way too immature and unprepared for it takes to be a starting QB in the NFL. He’s done a fair amount of growing up between now and then. And he’s had a rather sobering (pardon the pun) experience of being the backup to Vince Young at one point.

It’s kind of ironic that it took another QB meltdown (i.e., Young’s depression) for Kerry to get back into the spotlight with the Titans. And he played well (enough) last season, I think. Not Pro-Bowl great or anything, but steady. And that makes him more reliable than Vince right now. While that’s surely disappointing for Vince, it’s actually a good development for Kerry’s rebound. I wish him well…until we play the Titans in the Superbowl. ;-)
