Panthers MLB Jon Beason has a his personal web site/blog. My first reading was on his getting into "beast mode' for training camp. LOVE IT!

Note: I got an email on this and thought it was a new site but once I got in there it appears to have been up for many months now

Yes, he's a frequent blogger.

Seems very media-savvy. Makes regular appearances on Prime Time, and he has good information on his website. It was there we first learned the extent of his shoulder injury.

Remember, kids...don't ever let facts get in the way of your argument.

I like the comment below:

“Our defense is playing a lot faster now with an emphasis on chasing the ball and stripping it. Making tackles and swarming to the ball is a big part of our coach’s philosophy. I like it and I think we have the personnel to do it. "

Pretty much what we already knew, except for the addition of “stripping” the ball and his confidence in our personnel for this scheme.

Here's another quote from the Beast's blog.

“Our new defensive coordinator is Ron Meeks. I really like his system, its a fast aggressive system. He wants guys who will chase the football and that’s my style, so we’re on the same page. We had an immediate connection.”

I really like the last sentence, that they had “an immediate connection.” As the leader/coach on the field, Beason will be that much more affective by having a “connection” with the DC.

I liked that one too

Going to the ball seems like a no-brainer but I think its the attitude part that will make a difference. We want QB/RB/WR to know they are going to get hit when they play the Panthers. They need to get the swagger back.

I blog the Carolina Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com
