With the Jay Cutler trade clogging the news cycle the past week the pickings on the Panthers is slim at best. Let's start with a rather intriguing question Scott Chandler has regarding Panthers HC John Fox:

• Is he loyal or is he stubborn? I agree with the D-Will analysis and I couldn't help but chuckle at this zinger towards the end:

Fox acts as if he's seen it all. And he has seen a lot. And he is the best coach the Panthers have ever employed, and it's not close.

But he hasn't seen everything – a Super Bowl ring on his own finger, for instance.

• Shannon Green is running a poll on Julius Peppers at the Herald Online. What a novel idea... Just one problem, she didn't include a link. Tisk, Tisk.

• How about WR Plaxico Burress opposite Steve Smith? The Giants finally released the twitchy fingered WR.
