Seahawks Sign CB Ken Lucas
Lucas, 6-foot, 205 pounds, brings size and experience to the Seahawks cornerback situation. Seattle struggled to fill the spot opposite Marcus Trufant last year with Josh Wilson and Kelly Jennings both being smaller players.
Funny how when one team cuts a player they are the reason for all that is wrong yet when the next team signs the same player they are suddenly the cure.

Even funnier
is that they already let him walk once before, when we first picked him up.
Good for him, though. I think that’ll be a much better team this year, QB health not withstanding. At least he didn’t end up at another NFC South team. That’d just piss me off.

A few notes...
Not only is this a comfortable landing spot for Lucas having already played there, but his signing makes a lot of sense for the team. The new Seattle DC is the old TB LBs coach, so he’s installing the Tampa 2. That will allow Lucas to be protected in zone coverage, and it will provide Seattle a BIG runn support upgrade over fellow CBs Wilson and Jennings.

Yeah, can't blame Seattle for grabbing him up if he is an upgrade
I think Lucas was more scapegoat than anything else with the fan base. He wasn’t the complete reason for the ineffective pass defense down the stretch. I think it had more to do with scheme. When you get cooked on the same crossing route two straight plays like in the ‘zona loss that’s on the DC in my view.
