Peppers Maxed Out on NFL; Returns to Hoops

Julius Peppers shocked the NFL today when he announced his retirement from the NFL to instead play basketball. Here's Peppers announcement:

"I'm not just maxed out in the Panthers system but with the NFL in general. There's nothing left for me to accomplish. I instead will be returning to UNC to help them win a National Title in the coming Final Four. Once I'm done dominating those kids I'm going to help LeBron win a Championship."

Peppers has been granted a special waiver to play for the Tarheels in the Final Four this weekend since he is the Julius "Dr" Peppers. Besides, if Michael Jordan can play baseball why can Peppers paly in the Final Four and be an All-Star in the NBA? Peppers did have some conditions before signing his Cavs' contract tender:

Umm...don't ask me to be a team leader. I just want to the money and praise of a leader but not the actual responsibility. Playing with me should be motivation enough for those around me. Oh...and they need to play a 3-4 defense.

When informed there are only five players on the court in basketball Peppers said "Okay, make it a 2-4."

Peppers agent Carl Carey had this to say about Peppers sudden career change:

"$16M a season is chump change compared to the NBA. Julius will prove to be the greatest athlete of these modern times. When he's done dominating the NBA, next up is Mixed Martial Arts."

When asked whether he might consider returning to the NFL if basketball...and whatever else doesn't work out, Peppers responded:

I wouldn't want to cripple the NFL by returning given I'll need at least $40M a season, unless of course I could pick the team...and the coaches...and the QB...and still do Dancing with the Stars. I can't let Jason Taylor do something better than me!

Happy April Fools Day Panther fans! I'm sure I had you going right? ;)

My wife can be eeevil on April Fools Day

She called her mother this morning and told her our oldest daughter (18) is pregnant! Not until my Mother-in-Law was in tears did she tell her April Fools. Honestly I’m surprised she fell for it as my wife loves to get her every year.

You left out the other areas

Olympic Volleyball could definitely use his skills. Also, how are his acting and rap careers going?

Space Jam 2 anyone?

I was writing an article where Julius Peppers was traded to the Dallas Cowboys! Oh well, guess I’ll pull something else ;3

i'll admit it

i got happy. i thought we had $17 mil to spend on Holt, and random defensive guys, and there was no chance we’d have to face Pep. Then the article got a little ridiculous, but i was surprised that Pep retiring made me feel better. maybe he should retire, or go into pro wrestling where whining is part of the show.

I'll admit too

You had me for a couple of seconds and then it got a little absurd. Part of me was about to get nerdy with ncaa rules and such but I composed myself.

You can't make it too realistic or you end up causing chaos

and explaining all day it was a JOKE! My I’m proud I at least had you going a few seconds. I’ll take that.
