CSR Super Bowl Game Day Open Thread
It's Super Bowl Day, the last day of the 2008 NFL Season. I'll will watch this game just as I have the past 30+ Super Bowl pulling for the NFC. I also love a good upset though this one would not be as epic as last years Giants upset.
I'm looking for some more Warner to Fitzgerald magic to overcome a stout Steeler defense. What are you looking for in this game Panther fans?

Im thinking the cardinals magic might finally run out
because the steelers I think will have enough game tape now after the eagles and panthers games to be able to stop the cardinals. depending on how much of fitzgerald shows up.
Steelers 24 Cardinals 20
Well, they must have skipped the Panthers' tape
on the play where Fitzgerald scored from midfield. Two-deep soft zone with both safeties biting on the outside receivers. Seems like they might have noticed that wasn’t too successful…

Part of me
wants the underdog.
The other half wants the Cards to be destroyed for the beating they put on the Panthers.
I don;t get why that last play be the cardinals wasn't reviewed?
Looked like an incomplete pass to me. Cards should have one more shot to the end zone.

I thought
he lost control of the ball before he started his forward motion. It looked like the ball got its forward motion from being knocked by his forearm and bicep, not because it was in his hand, but they definitely should have sent that to the booth. It definitely wasn’t a good season for officiating crews!
The Steelers got the benefit of a couple bogus calls on the Cards

Completely agree
I completely agree with you. They had many bogus penalties. I wanted Kurt Warner to get this one so bad, but it was a great game. I imagine if some of those bad calls weren’t made, the game would have went a different direction. Pittsburgh has an awesome defense and a great quarterback, and Arizona definitely fought the great fight.
that's true, but
when you’re up three with just over two minutes left, you should try covering receivers and tackling. Either way, it was a great game and I think Warner solidified his case for the Hall of Fame. I also think he’ll be back next year. Without him, the Cards only win six next year. Warner set the Superbowl record for most passing yards in Superbowl history with more yards in his three games than the old record Joe Montana set in five games. But Montana has THREE Superbowl MVPs, so that’s that.
