LOL
That’s funny. I hadn’t even thought of what that may mean for the fantasy world. I wonder if Moore & Smith will have enough timing down to go for a few deep balls?
I wonder if we should be judging our receivers these next few weeks just as much as Moore? If Moore plays decently but our receivers suddenly don’t look quite so horrible (like, actually catching some balls thrown their way), it could mean that Delhomme simply isn’t putting the ball where it needs to be anymore – even on his ‘good’ passes.
Double Trouble; we've got the best running backs in the NFL that never see the ball!
Haha.
To be honest, even in his good games I’ve noticed that Jake has a tendency to throw the ball high. The problem has gone through the roof this year.
To be honest, as Sunday gets closer I’m growing more and more excited as the week drags on. Matt Moore? Starting for the Carolina Panthers? Starting on an offense with one of the best receivers in the league with one of the best running backs right behind him, ready to throw guys to the ground on a moments notice?
Holy S*** dude, this is going to be a good game?

You sure were honest ;) haha
Yeah, the idea seems fascinating – I hope Moore lives up to the hype that has been created for him. If he does, it’ll be pretty incredible.
And the anticipation builds…

I imagine Matt Moore throwing his 6th touchdown in the 4th quarter with no time remaining.
His nose is bloodied up, his face is bruised. Both eyes are swollen shut and he can barely lift his arm.
“Rocky!”
“Adrian!”

Jake is putting too much loft on the deep balls...the dfender can catch up and make a play
I think his arm is weaker now than in prior seasons.
I am excited to see how Moore does. I bet it gives the rest of the team a shot in the arm too. They had to be losing confidence in Delhomme
I blog the Carolina Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com
Definitely agree

It should be
This is the perfect game to test it out, Aqib Talib is out and our Secondary is really crampin’ right now- so Smith might have some deep balls his way.
Why do you kill threads????

LOL
Knowing the way things go with the Panthers Matt Moore will form a symbiotic ‘Delhomme to Smith-esque’ relationship with Dwayne Jarrett and turn him into an all pro reciever.

Uh oh!
Dwayne Jarrett is going to be giving Vince Young a run for his money for Comeback Player of the Year!

Tom Brady will win the award
Hands down.

Don't underestimate the NFL's desire for a man named Favre.
Especially if they give MVP to Peyton they’ll feel like they need to give him something.

I'm telling you guys.
Vince Young is a shoo-in.

Brady coming back from an ACL
He’ll win it.
Sig bet? : D

You're probably right
I just think the ‘comeback player’ shouldn’t be a perenial all-pro who gets a season ending injury.
I should be a player who comes back from advesity and puts in an amazing season. It should be someone like Cedric Benson or Vince Young but it’s going to be Favre or Brady.

I agreed the year that Chad Pennington won it.
More players like that should win.

Which year?
Last year, or the time before?
He didn’t deserve it last year… I really don’t think coming back from an injury should count… especially if you’ve already done it before.

If you've done it before
it makes it even more impressive. It was an injury to his same shoulder, that’s adversity.

I can hear it now...
“Blasphemy! This is the NFL! We don’t care about little guys that just so happen to be having a half decent year! We want big names that attract attention! We want Favre! We want Brady! Adrian Peterson stumps big toe in career threatening injury, returns to rush for over 100 yards on 30 carries! No, scratch the 30 carries, just 100 yards! That’s the kind of headlines I’m talking about! What? Vince Young? He still plays for the NFL? So what? He won a few games for the Tennessee Texans? Big deal! Young doesn’t sound like Brady to me! And Brady is what puts a smile on this face!”

Maybe I'm crazy
But for some reason, I think all of what you said is possible….

Lets not forget, Steve Smith didn't break out until Jake became QB.
So while it’s improbable, Jarrett’s surge is totally possible.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Williams didn’t practice today, and neither did Moose or Jarret. If they all don’t play, that leaves TB easily able to key in on Smith and shut him down.
And he has had a lot of success against Tampa
Not to mention we still have TE’s. Rosario as the slot receiver might be in the making, along with Goodson.

That’s assuming our offensive line decides to show up.
Honestly, I feel really bad for Moore. His first NFL start in two years and it seems the fates are conspiring against him.

How has the Moore/Smitty combo done before?
Rotoworld needs to pay more attention to history. The only quarterback Smith has ever performed well with is Jake.
If I were a fantasy owner
Smith would have been SO devalued to where this is a CHEAP pickup and HUGE reward.
I look for the tight ends to be busy and Smith to be huge. Matt will not leave the recievers hanging out to take that “kill shot” that I feel Jake does by hanging the ball up higher.
Not down on Jake but seriously pumped for Matt. This is his chance to shine, and his only chance to make it big in the NFL. The average time to mature a quarteback is 4 years, and it appears to be right for him.
I'm getting more and more excited as it gets closer to game day...
I can’t wait to see how Moore has developed by watching the game on the sidelines for the past few years.
I have a feeling that we have a solid QB just waiting for his chance to prove it, and I think he will prove to Fox and the rest of management that they should have given Jake the boot after the Arizona game last year.
