FAs
Who here has seen the FAs this year? There are plenty good WRs like Brandon Marshall, Vincent Jackson, Miles Austin, Braylon Edwards, Antonio Bryant, Malcolm Floyd, Kevin Walter, Jason Avant, Mark Clayton and Steve Breaston. Then there's a few good QBs such as Jason Campbell and Tarvaris Jackson. There's some good O-line depth and a lot of good D players. My question is who would you want us to get out of these? I can post a link with the list of all the FAs.

Those first five WRs are all studs, true.
But they’re all going to be retained by their respective teams. The FA market next year, Peppers notwithstanding, is going to be really, really slim. Too many things happening with the end of the CBA to allow player movement.
I think Bryant is the only guy of those five who’s not going to be a RFA next year, and he’ll be franchised again, I’m sure.
Also, despite their starting experience, ask fans in Minneapolis or DC if Jackson or Campbell are good QBs. My guess is you’ll get mixed reviews at best.
I'm not saying I disagree...
But I’ll trust the Panthers’ scouting staff before I trust Joe Smith from St. Paul

I would love to see my fellow Monmouth University Alumn Miles Austin .....
playing for the Panthers but I agree Jerry Jones will resign him. Bill Parcells signed Austin as an undrafted free agent out of a tiny Div1AA school, and the kid continues to rise to the ocassion and make the most of every opportunity. As far as Avant, he could become available, the Eagles have alot of young talent at WR, but he they may keep him as he has become a top notch 3rd down/slot receiver. However, I don’t know if he would be a good every down 2nd receiver.
As far as QB goes, if we take the FA route, I would love to see Campbell get a chance in an offense like the Panthers. I think the Panthers verticle passing game is a better fit for Campbell than the short passing West Coast offense that the Redskins play.
And Austin will be an RFA without a CBA extension...
So it’ll be particularly hard to get a hold of him. I agree with your comments on Avant.

Avant could be a safety valve in the mold of Ricky Proehl
You could make an argument that that’s what our passing game has been missing the past few year.

Marshall might throw a fit and not resign.
And VJ is one of many chargers players with an expiring a contract this year.

He'd never sit out the year.
Worst case scenario, he’ll sign a big one-year tender, but I think it’s more likely that he ends up taking somebody’s long-term offer sheet and playing it out, whether it be here or elsewhere. And Jackson’s also a special-case RFA because of the expiring CBA.
