It is extremely crazy but lets say that the panthers win all their games, they will beat the falcons based on division record and be the NFC wild-card rep. now this is where it gets crazy. even though there are six teams that panthers would lose out to in direct comparison, they still have a shot. Because each divison get to send one "representitive for tiebreaking on the confrence, the giants could possibly be in a tie with eagles if they both lose out, the exception being giants must win tonight. if that along with other smaller things occuring then you have the playoff picture being this:

The panthers, beating the giants will have the tiebreaker over them. and the panthers sneak in on a division tiebreaker first rule. The chances are slim (0.1%) but hey miracles do happen and the panthers have no 1st round draft pick to play for. it is a one in 1000 chance, but hey people win the lottery, play sports professionally and become billionares with the odds against them. this is probably the craziest tiebreaking system ever and will take a miracle, but hey the do happen.
