Dear Terry – you sing worse than I do. But thanks anyways.

Brady already threw an interception...
to Miami’s rookie CB Vontae Davis. Or rather he threw a great pass to Randy Moss on a double move when Davis made a fantastic play with a one-handed interception.
Miami’s got a pair of rookie CBs who both look to be studs, their first round pick Davis and their second round pick Sean Smith. Before Sherrod Martin’s performance this past week, I was really down on Hurney for going with him over Smith.

TD, Tony Gonzales.
Maybe I should have started Matt Ryan instead of Philip Rivers.

I have a buddy who lives in Chicago, and I jokingly told him to send some tape of last week’s game to the Bears coaching staff.
Doesn’t look like it got there thus far.

Tommy Harris got ejected for punching a guy who was lying on the ground
and that was in the first couple minutes of the game. That’s a huge loss for their defense; they’re not going to get any pressure on Warner this week. They’re in serious trouble.

Yeah, no kidding. Warner’s a fairly difficult QB to pressure to begin with. Tommie Harris taking himself out of the game like that only serves as a severe disservice to his team.

The 'smoke' route will be there for Smith today (...and more)
Ya think the N.O. DC and CB’s studied that hitch and go for a TD from the Arizona game?
No way they’ll try to jump the quick out, with that embarrassment fear — so the smoke route will be open.
But to take it a step further, that play from last week sets them up for another play, with maybe more potential for a larger gain — the double hitch — if the CB bites on the second move (stop/go), then stop a second time, and the CB will probably trip on his protector. That cold mean big space for Smitty to operate from.

I sure hope so.
Can’t throw a pick on the smoke routes.
I’m mostly scared of Mr. Sharper going house on us with a pick. The more double moves and smoke routes we use, the better.

Yeah...lets try to fake first...
easy pass for a pick 6

Honest to god, the best thing about that smoke-and-go route..
is not that we’re going to do it again, but it tells me that our OC is being creative in adapting to the specific set of limitations our offense has. That’s worth so much more than simply spinning our wheels trying (and failing) to do the same things every week.

The Tampa Bay Creamsicles are playing pretty well...
but you can’t miss FGs when you’re as bad as they are.

The era of the dominating Bears defense seems like so long ago now.

Yup.
Man, I still remember how thoroughly impressive they were in ‘05 when they sacked us like 5 or 6 times. Then we came back and “beat them like a drum” in the playoffs. But I haven’t seen them do a lot of good since then.
Today’s going to be a bad day for them. Kurt’s already got, what, three TDs? Not bad for a quarter…

This game makes me appreciate our defense all the more.
Really, Chicago’s looking like our defense from the first three weeks.

Dolphins just scored on an option to right, pitch to Ricky Williams
Reminded me of GT’s wreckbone. The announcers are singing Dan Hennings praises!

Pride and confidence are one thing. Arrogance and overconfidence are quite another.

Tampa Bay is proving just how horrible Green bay’s offensive line and defense are.
