My problem now is I have nobody I can really root for. I’m friends with a Bears fan and a Ravens fan, but both of those teams are sliding right now.
I’d root for New Orleans simply because they’re from our division and they’ve never been to a SB, much less won one, but their fans have become so obnoxious I can’t do that.
All I can say is that I hope the Patriots don’t win it.
(Yes, I’m back. I had to take the entire weekend to digest the loss, which was entirely the fault of crappy offensive play calling. F@$%! At least the Penguins are rebounding.)
So between the giants and the falcons game, who’s win would be more opportune for us? Considering each of their remaining schedule and whatnot. Though I dislike both, I’m cheering for the giants regardless.
I'm with you...I dislike both, but IMO a Giants win beneifits us more...
The Giants have some real tough divisional games ahead and will have ample opportunity to lose some more games. Plus we will get a shot at handing the Giants a loss ourselves.
Today went about as well as it could have for us.
Giants beat Falcons
Packers beat 49ers

Been busy all day...
I saw a highlight of a vid of a Bills lineman getting his leg snapped. Ouch!!

Come on Bears!!
Need them to beat the Eagles…but they are not looking two hot.
The Bears gave up Orton and two 1st round draft picks for Cutler…think about that.

It hurts my brain to comprehend that.

Yeah. On the one hand, he has no offensive line and thus no protection or running game.
On the other hand, he’s made a number of terrible throws.

funny to think some wanted us to give up that much for him.

not completely unreasonable
he has absolutely no running game or o-line to work with; consequently, it results in him getting beat down and forced to make bad decisions…
also, their #1 receiver is still just a punt-returner at heart…
Yeah, but he’s also horribly overthrown quite a number of receivers, many of whom would’ve gotten a first down or touchdown if he’d been on the money, and that’s nobody’s fault but his.

What happened to the running game I wonder?
Matt Forte rocked as a rookie…not so much now.

I’ve always thought his rookie season was an overstatement of sorts.. He amassed plenty of yards but did so on plenty of carries, averaging 3.9yds per carry by the end of the season… I guess it depends on what you consider good and bad for a RB… I personally don’t like anything below 4ypc given the amount of backs that seem to surpass that in a majority of seasons during their career. He was close.
He’s no slouch but I’m not so surprised to see him in a slump. I’m not much of a cubs fan, though, so there may be some factors I’m unaware of, making my assessment invalid.
