I don't think it's setup right
Shouldn’t it be a page or organization account, not a person? User should have the option to “become a fan”, not “add as friend”.

It takes an individual to start a facebook organization.
If the members want it, and we deem it neccesary we can have the Cat Scratch Reader user set up an organization.

With you a page you can have discussions and that is how people will search for your it, not as a friend. It’s really easy to setup…

Fair point ST.
It has been created as a page so people can search directly for it.
I have also edited the fanpost to funnel people to the page.

For some reason when you do a search 2 CSR pages are shown
And people are signing up for both.

No, not at all... not in the slightest
All the Facebook will do is funnel people to this website. We will still do all commenting, live threads, everything right here.
It’s just an extension of what we have with the CSR twitter account.

+1...most sbn sites have FB pages as well...well at least some do
I’m not exactly sure what it will do for us but the brass at SBN is all for it. I’m just getting used to FB myself.
Thanks again James for doing that!

No problem.
Hopefully we’ll attract more people to participate, comment and post fanposts. The more the merrier (provided they abide by the code of conduct).
