Wow, that's our 2nd starter to have a no-contact season ending injury caused by the ground
Most fans have already lost hope in the season. This sucks mostly for him… Could have been a probowl year for the guy.

Sorry for battle of words and Davis injury.
Hey guys,
Don’t really have much to say then what I have already stated about my battle of words here on the site with a few of my fellow fans but it was completely rude, wrong and I am sorry. No this is not “BS” just something that has been on my mind and really I miss the site and chatting it up with some of the best fans in the NFL. Say what you will but this is a heart felt apology.
T. Davis- Man this one hurts really, really bad and it is just another blow to the Cats this season. No way you can replaced T. Davis with anyone on the free agent market, in house on our 53 man roster or from the PS squad. Kelvin Smith gets a big shot but Landon Johnson will start this Sunday against the Falcons. We need to see what we have in Johnson and see if he is worth the cash but I think we already know. Only bright spot is that it allows us to keep T. Davis for a cheaper amount next season as a restricted free agent then a unrestricted free agent unless the is some crazy movement or change in the CBA agreement.
I love my team, my fellow bloggers and fans, and I also love watching Big Nick2700 on his youtube channel.
I think we all you eat some everlasting gobstoppers already and make Sundays fun again.
Bring back the Cardiac Cats.

Not sure why you don't think Johnson is worth his deal...
Beyond his time in Cincy as a three-time team leader in tackles, he’s shown well as a Panther when he’s had the opportunity to get on the field, and his 10-tackle game against Buffalo is a clear example.
Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

I didn’t mean it that way, I just mean or thought he was brought here to be a starter and has never really became one, nor has he beat out Diggs to crack the starting rotation. I was at the Buffalo game and he did play pretty well so he has his chance we will see.
Go Panthers beat the Falcons and it is still a great year.

Eh...
He’s never really broken the bank with his salary. $3-4 mil is low-end starter money, but it’s certainly not an anchor if you have to keep that guy on the bench. I will agree that I find the lack of progression from he and Connor to be at least a little worrisome.

Conner has never been aloud to start so how can you say that he has a lack of production ?

If you're the best player, you'll get that chance.
That he hasn’t moved ahead of Na’il Diggs, who’s never been much more than mediocre, says that he’s not getting better.

Or Connor fell victim to Fox's "vetish"
Honestly with Fox, we will never know if it’s a vetish or if the vets are always the better player.

Delhomme certainly got his chance over a guy who had lots of experience and had been here.
We’ve also seen rookies like Beason, Otah, and Godfrey relied on pretty heavily in their young careers.

Beason only got in due to injury to Morgan
Godfrey and Otah were relied on out of necessity, and I consider Delhomme the aberration, not the rule.

Not exactly.
Beason was going to start at OLB had he not moved to the middle with Morgan’s injury. And Otah wasn’t needed because of necessity. They brought back the starting OTs from ’07 and had a plethora of veteran guards they could have gone with.

Beason couldn't beat out Diggs
Morgan opened the season at STL starting at MLB, was lost with a hammy or something like that, then Beason came in. Beason and Diggs may have been in a timeshare at OLB, but Diggs and Morgan were the starters. Otah>Bridges, who was a solid backup with a low ceiling. Otah’s ceiling was/is much higher.

Nope.
Beason has started every game of his NFL career, including the first three games of the ‘07 season while Morgan was still healthy. Here’s the breakdown of starts that year:
Beason/Davis-16
Diggs-9
Morgan-3
Anderson-1
The four extra games are when we opened in a nickel.

Oh, and Bridges wasn't a returning starter at OT...
Wharton and Gross were. If you’re going to try to argue with me, at least check your facts.

Isn't Connor technically Beason's backup at MLB?
Don’t know that he’s ever been taking reps as OLB.
Yes, he is...
But he has gotten time at OLB in practices and games, at least in the preseason. He’s just the most pure MLB they’ve got among their backups.
