We are the "Soft Schedule" for the Redskins!
From today's Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/10/05/AR2009100503481.html?sub=AR
"While the Redskins prepare for Sunday's meeting at the Carolina Panthers -- their fifth opponent in a row that enters the game winless -- Washington begins the next portion of its schedule fortunate to be at .500 and eager to improve on its performances in those first four games.
The Redskins' two wins came against teams that are a combined 0-8 and losing by an average of 17 points per game. The Redskins squeaked by the St. Louis Rams, beating them by just two points. The Rams lost their other three games by a combined 82 points.
The Redskins' next two opponents -- the Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs -- are a combined 0-7 and are losing by an average of 14 points per game. Only three teams are scoring fewer points per game than Carolina. Players hope the soft schedule the next couple of weeks allows the Redskins to build their confidence before the quality of their opponents jumps.
"If we get some of these teams that don't have a win, they are going to be hungry. I know that," said safety Reed Doughty. "This is the NFL and everybody's job is on the line every week. It is not like they are going to come in here and lay down, but at the same time, hopefully we can take advantage of the perceived lack of confidence."
"Perceived lack of confidence"?? Do these guys really think we're on a par with the Rams and Bucs?

There are a couple that made me laugh… the people who actually took the joke seriously (if that makes sense) i.e. Tyler Brayton.
As for the poster who compared Moose to an old man with a walker… I wonder if he realizes that old man is ten times the reciever than anyone they have.
I’m astounded that the worst 2-2 team in the NFL are ready to brag about anything, honestly. Money can’t buy you love… or wins… or a decent football team, evidently.
But no, I’m sure the soft part of their schedule comes now. I would love to see what would have happened if they played the Eagles, Falcons and Cowboys.
In the spirit of their little ‘comparison game’ I offer this one:
Daniel Snyder

You did it sooooo right!
LOL at that one.
As for Moose, I only hope this gets called to his attention.

OK, manhood test....
CAR has had 2 weeks to prepare for a team that was beat by DET. The game is at home. We need to get a W. None of this rant has been influenced by my decision to start Delhomme as my FF QB in Week 5. None. OK, maybe a smidgen. Alright, it’s completely about that. I NEED POINTS JAKE. I want TD passes. No freaking interceptions! No dang fumbles. Holy hell, you got Steve f’n Smith out there. Ok, my rant is over….
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

Jake as your FF QB?
Very bold and imaginative pick, sir.

Heck, I might even start Jake next week when the Seminoles take on the Crackheads..
He’ll be playing against Tampa. I like Jake vs Tampa…

Jake vs Tampa sounds good… Cept for Ronde. Ronde sound bad. I just can’t bring myself to pick Jake up yet… He’s still a FA in my league. I’ve instead went with Kurt Warner and Trent Edwards on certain occasions.

Yeah, wait until they see
what the ‘soft’ part of their schedule does to them. Man how far we have fallen in the eyes of the NFL. It’s one thing to be an underdog but to now be considered one of the worst teams in the NFL by the team that just lost to the 0-19 Lions is too much. The Panthers have to be pissed, and I mean really pissed.
We are better than this!!!

Well, until the Panthers show that they can win, that’s how it is. The Panthers, along with Tennessee, should be the laughing stocks of football. Two great teams just a year ago with basically the same players that have yet to win a game this year. The sad part is, I think the Panthers don’t even care.

We are hardly the 'laughing stocks of football'
Neither are the Titans. That generous distinction clearly belongs to the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders.
Despite our record, most of the football community realize that we lost to three very good teams, who all have the potential to make the playoffs.

You beat 'em, and they STILL think they're better!
