Confirmation, I'm Going to the Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't have to beat anybody on the phone lines last Thursday nor navigate through ticketmaster's system, but I did have to wait 5 extra days to know for sure that I would be able to go. A friend from my parents church has bought season tickets from a PSL holder in Charlotte who no longer attends the games for the last 3-4 years . I asked him last weekend if he was getting playoff tickets and if I could have one. He said yes provided his source bought them and didn't use them. I've been anxiously waiting since and this morning around 9:30 my cell phone rang. I finally had confirmation the tickets are in the mail and one was for me. Guys I'm stoked.
This will be my fourth time seeing the Panthers in person, second trip to Bank of America Stadium (1st game was at Clemson and most recent was on the road versus the Titans last season). I will be in section 512, row 5.
I do have a question since I'm not a regular to sporting events. Since there is a possiblity of rain, for those that go to open stadiums, what suggestions do you have to possiblity stay dry? I'm prepared for cold weather but the rain brings a new element for me.
If I think of any additional question, which I'm sure I will, i'll post them in comments.

i also saw David Carr and the cats at LP field last year. That was my last year of college, and i had been waiting for that day since i was a freshman when i saw the Panthers were playing in Nashville in 2007.
One of the most embarassing moments of my life. Thank you David Carr.

Matt Moore
I remember when Moore came in at the end of the game and I was so excited. I remember saying, at least he actually threw the ball, which was more than David Carr could say.

David Carr
I don’t like him at all. He just seems like an overconfident punk sometimes. I’ll never forget how he poked fun at the fans by saying “I heard the crowd shouting ‘We want Moore’ and I’m trying to do that. I’m trying to score them more points.”
His signing was a bad joke. I’m just glad he’s gone. By the way I’m not going to the game either. I’ll try again next week if we win, but this time I’m going to the ticketmaster site as a person and try to get a ticket. Might even try out my new video recorder and Youtube it. Who knows?
All I know is at 10:00PM sharp the lines were busy, the internet was overloaded, and by the time I got through all the affordable tickets were gone. My New Year’s resolution is to buy a PSL

Definately was a Carr wreck
I admit I was excited at this signing but don’t remember watching him play beforehand. But after last year, he was a joke. Glad the front office released him. Best move of the offseason (okay so I kid, but it was one of the better ones).

Where did you sit?
I don’t remember if it was east or west corner, but believe I was sitting in section 316 or so. If it was west corner probably section 341. I know there were other panther fans there, but for some reason I do remember a specific group of four (I believe) sitting close by.

Congrats LK
Bring the Panthers some luck. As far as dealing with the rain… those clear plastic disposable ponchos seem to do the trick. They are lightweight and inexpensive.

My advice is to pack a flask with your favorite spirits if you drink!
Rumplemints works well in cold weather!

Jealousy, LittleKing be thy name.
The last game I went to as a “fan” was back in 1999, the Detroit game. I bought tickets for my wife and I, plus one as a gift for my buddy who was a huge Barry Sanders fan. Then…. The Retirement. And of course Steve Beuerlein was sacked about 100 times and we lost what was a pretty boring, disappointing game.
It was during that game that I realized I’d much rather watch the game on TV with good replays and injury information and whatnot (although I hear the new screen alleviates the replay part).
Of course, the last game I attended (on the sidelines, schlepping cameras for an SI photographer) was 2005 against the Jets, when our defense dominated and happiness reigned. It was during that game that I realized I was wrong about that previous realization.

I think we call that an 'epiphany'
And that is about as good of an example as I could think for this audience!
