that might work. hope it does!
i also created a poll check it out. i think Jake is an average quarterback, and i think our team would be incredibly dirty if we just started the Matt Moore dynasty. I LOVE the idea of bringing in a young quarterback and having him grow with the team. Matt has shown some serious potential with last years games!

"Dirty" if we started the Matt Moore era?
I’m not sure what you mean by that. Can you elaborate?

dirty as in, matt moore is good. he is young, and we can develop him into a solid qb. He has the three fundamental things that Jake lacks as a qb, and if we get him started now, he can work on being a leader and growing as a team. With a good quarterback, carolina panthers would be the best team in the nfl.

I'm a big Jake fan
because he knows how to win a ball game, because he has the confidence of his team mates and the coaches and because he is a very down-to-earth professional who carries himself like a regular Joe.
If it was up to me, Jake is the #1 QB next year no matter what happens this post-season, provided he wants the job.
Just my opinion. Welcome to the blog Jamie. I’m sure I’ll check out the page you mentioned.

Tough choices
I do think Jake is an average QB, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a good QB for the Panthers. I’m more along the lines I somewhat agree with you but feel he’s the best option right now. He has lead the team to 3 playoff seasons out of the 5 he’s played (the whole season). Love the enthusiasm though.
BTW, welcome to CSR. Hope to see you contribute here as well.

I'll go ahead and disagree with you.
Jake Delhomme is the best QB we have on our roster at this time. Matt Moore looks like a good product for the future, but he doesn’t have the same chemisty that Jake has with Steve Smith and Moose. He’s played his entire career with them after all. That’s one advantage he has over Moore. Jake Delhomme is 5-2 in the playoffs, while Moore hasn’t played in one at all.
Jake has done anything this year to take his job away from him. He’s come back from Tommy John surgery and he’s had a remarkable season. Take away the Oakland game and he’s thrown for 14 TD’s 8 INT’s and probably around a 88-90+ rating for the year.
Is Matt Moore the QB of the future? Meh, maybe. Let’s be honest, we still haven’t seen much from him to give him the job. He didn’t throw a touchdown during the pre-season, while he did throw 3 INT’s.
The best course of action would be this. Keep Jake Delhomme till he either retires or starts to slow down. Josh McCown is a good veteran QB for now, but it would be better to fill that spot with another rookie from the NFL draft. Probably won’t happen next year, but the year after that Jake will be 35 years of age. At that time, I think it would be wise to take a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to develop alongside Matt Moore. Give him some competition. I’ve never heard of any QB suddenly sucking because he had someone to challenge him for the job.
Right now, I’m not quite so high on Matt Moore. He has physical talent, but it doesn’t make a bit of difference if he can’t put it together for his team.

thanks for the comment Revshawn
I just wanted to say, that last year, Matt Moore quickly became a fan favorite. I remember listening to the panther radio show when they brought Matt Moore in and the place erupted. I am not alone in my thoughts, Matt Moore did more than enough last year to prove to me he could be the future of this team. Do not forget about last year. Matt Moore looked great in the pocket and showed a lot of poise when in tough situations. He did great for being a young rookie out of Oregon State to come into a failing team and bring some light.

If another year
I’d like for Moore to have one more season under his belt before becoming a starter, but I don’t disagree that he showed promise.
