CSR Celebrates One Year Anniversary

It was one year ago this past weekend that this blog was launched. 54,000 user sessions later I find myself still intrigued by this new medium that lets every Panther fan have a voice. I was fairly new to blogging at the time and wasn't sure if I had the stamina to support such an endeavor. I am happy to report that it's gone by quickly and I find myself more of a Panther fan today than ever before. I've enjoyed the discussion and remain committed to providing a unique experience that I think only the SB Nation network can provide.

It doesn't hurt that I'm completely stoked about the Panthers post -season chances this season. I think they are going to give us a lot to talk about as they march to the NFC South championship. Panther pride will rise to an all-time high!

I welcome all you lurkers out there to speak up on occasion when the topic interests you. My biggest hope and objective is to create a sense of community on this blog. No matter were we are from or how long we have been a fan everyone is welcome to speak here. I want to hear your opinions and hope you find posts at least fairly interesting. I think you will find we remain respectful and professional, something I'm proud of when I see some of the vitriol spewed on other sites.

Those of you that have been contributing over the past year I thank you. I've enjoyed the conversations and hope you will continue to do so as this season approaches. If anyone would like to take a crack at posting I'm in the hunt for at least one contributing editor before the coming season. The more perspectives the better.

Looking forward I know SBN will always be on the cutting edge of blogging technology. I know we will have a NFL-wide community that is second to none on the internet. I hope I can give every Panther fan a medium to speak and show their support for many years to come.

thank you

Well I’m certainly glad that I found this page. I used to blog on the charlotte observer page, but there was a lot of disrespect. The person posting the blogs never responded to any comments, and many people on the blog insulted him anyway. Then there was the wife of Chris Hetherington who kept posting extremely long messages on the page, so I had enough of that.

I wanted to start my own blog, but sometimes I’m too busy, and I have no real information except what I read on-line. So this is the perfect forum for me, and I can keep on voicing my opinion no matter where I am. I did it in Iraq, Afghanistan and Qatar, and now they are sending me to Naples, Italy.

Thank you for this outstanding blog. I appreciate you.

Thanks for the comments Charlson

You have easily been my most loyal commenter and I appreciate the conversation. It will be fun as we cheer the Panthers all the way to the Super Bowl!

Yay, we did it!

This is only my first post, but Panthers are my favorite NFL team (after Ravens…and Jets…well, they’re my favorite NFC team at least). This blog seems fantastic, not unlike Jake Delhomme, so I hope it continues it’s fantasticness as I become more active in it.

Amazing job on the blogs

I’ve been reading these blogs for some time now. I am a huge Carolina Panthers Fan. This is my first post so far and I am looking forward to adding a lot more. Great job on the blogs Jaxon. The Panthers are Super Bowl Bound.

I like it!

Hey, Jaxon, this site is my favorite Panthers news site, and second place isn’t even close. You point to interesting stories that I sometimes miss, your commentary is smart and insightful and, more than anything, I can read the comments here without feeling like I need to shut down most of my brain. So thanks for that. You have no idea how nice it is to have a site where I can feel like an adult having a conversation with other adults. Or maybe you do, which is why you do this in the first place.

Anyway, thanks a ton for running the site. I do appreciate it. And congratulations on hitting the year anniversary!

I struggled at first

trying to decide where I fit in, whats my schickt so to speak. But after seeing what else is out there over a period of time it became clear. There’s a very popular message board out there but there’s very little thoughtful content. It’s mostly dudes trying to grab attention and then a large handful of trolls who knock everything thats posted. The MSM sites like Charlotte.com have the greatest access to the team but they don’t control the commentary in response to their posts at all. You are right r3 you get little value from the comments as most threads turn into pissing contests. Nothing else lets you comment and actually get into intelligent discussions.

For whatever reason I haven’t got much of that here. Of course I wouldn’t allow it anyway but I’ve only had to ban one person so far except for the recent spat of spammers. I have found there are of lot of Panther fans who have something to say, who have an opinion and they can talk here intelligently and not have to worry about some idiot twisting their words. I’ve really enjoyed it in this first year and I’m excited about the Panthers season and direction of this blog.

Thanks for your comments, all of you!
