Panthers Basanez Guilty of Vinnie Worship

When asked who has had the most influence on his career Brett Basanez pointed to none other than the ageless wonder Vinnie Testaverde .

"He is the consummate professional, and that is one thing around the locker room that you can say that means a lot," Basanez said. "He came in every day, he worked hard -- it didn't matter if it was year 23, 22, 28, he was still working as if he was a first-year player. He took notes; he meticulously watched film."

"Everything. I mean, that guy (passed gas) and I was trying to figure out how to (do so) like him."

You share too much Brett, way too much. I can see it now, Vinnie turning to Brett and saying "Pull my finger" and they chortle like Beavis & Butt hole.

Delhomme Returns Stronger than Ever

Quarterback Jake Delhomme looks stronger and appears in better shape physically .

"I think a lot had to do with my rehab routine," he said. "I have become more specialized, I guess you can say, in my lifts. So that has strengthened up everything in the arm from the fingers to the shoulders. But I do feel real good.

"Now, it's easy to come on a one-a-day and do it. When you get back to back in training camp, we'll see. But I anticipate not really having too many issues."
