Panthers 2008 Schedule Released

Here's the Panthers 2008 Game Schedule. At first blush that's a pretty tough first three games. Starting the season on the road at SD is not preferred. I like having the 'bye' week in the middle of the season and believe it or not we actually got a Monday Night game against the Bucs. That should be a good one. I think I see 10 wins in there. Anyone else?

1 Sept. 7 at San Diego Chargers 4:15 p.m.
2 Sept. 14 Chicago Bears 1 p.m.
3 Sept. 21 at Minnesota Vikings 1 p.m.
4 Sept. 28 Atlanta Falcons 1 p.m.
5 Oct. 5 Kansas City Chiefs 1 p.m.
6 Oct. 12 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1 p.m.
7 Oct. 19 New Orleans Saints 1 p.m.
8 Oct. 26 Arizona Cardinals 1 p.m.
9 Nov. 2 Bye
10 Nov. 9 at Oakland Raiders 4:05 p.m.
11 Nov. 16 Detroit Lions 1 p.m.
12 Nov. 23 at Atlanta Falcons 1 p.m.
13 Nov. 30 at Green Bay Packers 1 p.m.
14 Dec. 8 (Mon.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8:30 p.m.
15 Dec. 14 Denver Broncos 1 p.m.
16 Dec. 21 at New York Giants 1 p.m.
17 Dec. 28 at New Orleans Saints 1 p.m.

The five game stretch starting with the Packers to close the season worries me. The last game against the Saints could determine the NFC South Champ.

not even close

I say 12 wins minimum...the Saints are going to be worse until Deuce can play a whole season and they realize that the new Dave Meggett, AKA Bush, isn't all that.  The Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Packers, Lions and Cardinals are all definite wins.  So is the Superbowl.  If you haven't noticed, that's a recurring theme to most of my posts.  I'm not a real reporter...I don't get paid to be objective...Go Panthers!!!

Beat the Packers?

I guess it depends on how Rodgers steps in Favre's shoes. I can see him struggling certainly...but it will be a tough one to win in GB regardless.

I think we go 4-2 in the NFC South, 3-1 against AFC West and 2-2 against NFC North (lose to GB & Minny). We then beat the Cards and lose to the Giants to go 10-6. I'm a little more of a skeptic than you are Charlsong. If we do well in the draft I may up my prediction.

This is not a tough schedule so Fox & Friends don't have that excuse for not getting to the playoffs.
